We're all just thirsty for success. At least we got the monkey off our back of bearing a ranked team. That SC win is the high point, probably since Fulmer, right?

has the Tennessee talent been developed as well as the Vanderbilt talent? You have to assess the development of the players during the last 4 or 5 years.

I would say no.

You can't develop players bringing in new coaches every year who teach differently. You can physically develop talent bringing in new S&C coaches every year and implementing different S&C techniques.

If anything, that would show regression of the talent level rather than progression.

I was a BUTCH defender and excuse-maker til he called that fake FG on 4th and 19 . I have watched thousands of games and I cant recall when a play like that worked. I thought Butch was a smart man, now I know better. I will never forget that retarded call as long as I live. IMO, that essentially lost the game. A game that we could have won bc of all the errors Vandy made. Just like Fla, they tried to give the game to us, but we were not smart enough to cash in. I don't care if we beat KY or not, this season was terrible. Another disgraceful chapter in recent Vol FB. I am beginning to think we are still 5-6 years away from relevance in the SEC. Brick by brick- is becoming a joke.

Stability at this point is probably the biggest thing, that and getting better players. Good, bad or ugly, our wagon is hitched to Butch and his crew for more than likely 4 years..

I agree with the foolish fake field goal call unless Palardy was injured as his kicking was obviously not up to the normal level of this season. Even if he was hurt I don't see the wisdom in the fake FG play.

If CBJ holds this current recruiting class together and follows it up with more great recruits in the future then UT is bound to improve in less than 5 years.

Probably so, although pounding UGA while Kiffin (I despise that lying coward) was at the helm comes mighty close.

As much as I enjoyed the SC win this season I loathed the Vandy and UF losses, they cancel each other IMO.

Totally agree. Worley has hurt us more than most people want to admit. I think if we increase the talent around him next year we might have a decent offense. I am not counting out Riley yet, but at this point Worley gives us our best chance to win.

the Worley Dobbs thang reminds me of the Rick Clausen Ainge thang one has more tallent but the other has experiance and can win.

next year we will see Ferguson he may be the QB

You've watched thousands of games and never seen a fake FG work?
I still don't understand why people think an extra 3 points would have resulted in a win.

I think the main reason we didn't score more points was because of two early interceptions and VERY bad passing with a true freshman third string quarterback. We ran the ball good (4.1 ave I think), but it wasn't enough.

Difference between vandy and UT? stability and consistency and experience in their program. Just like 100% of the teams we have faced this year. Not one team in this nation has had to go through the horrendous, unprofessional things that our VFL's and current players have had to put up with. Now, I can confidently say we finally will have consistency.

The total of coaches we have been through in 5 years I believe is in the double digits.assistants and head coaches. Head coaches counts for 4. Dooley, kiffin, fulmer, and butch. Think about that, in five years!!!!! Come on man
