Google Translate

Link's to a Norwegian news site running through Google Translate, since a lot of the American outlets are butchering the reporting right now.

Terrible thing to happen. There are confirmed bombs- who would attack Norway?

Pretty sad commentary on the state of the world.

Norway is a "friend of Israel." So, I could think of a couple of groups.

Actually, Norway's got a large bit of the government that is pro-Palestine and basically pro-"Middle East". It's a lot less pro-Israel than most of the US.

How long until the anti-Muslim contingent comes in and starts railing against the atrocities of Islam, citing this as another example of its horrific death toll (15 wounded, 2 killed) to go along with the billions killed in Africa?

There's a lot of speculation that there are more than two killed, but your point remains.

$100 bet that it's Muslim related. They just kicked out a radical Muslim cleric. My bet is that it's retaliation

Still a "Friend of Israel." Wouldn't even bother to harm that status by granting asylum to Mordechai Vanunu.

Either way, there's still not a definitive link to Islamic extremists, so there shouldn't be room for assumption.

It looks like it could be Islamic militants, but I don't think it's fair to make that leap as soon as an attack happens.

Not fair to suspect? Why? That's what police investigation is all about.

If I said it was 100% certain that Islamists were behind this then I'd agree. But if I speculate based on the history of recent terror attacks and activities that might be (and have in the past been) seen as provocations then it's a natural conclusion to look towards these groups as likely perps.

I didn't say it definitively. I offered a choice to fall under the differential.

It was asked who would want to hurt Norway. An answer was given.

I never stated: "Islamic militants are responsible for this action."
