Faith in Worley Or Not

More faith after the game than before.
The timing will come. Big play makers on the horizon.

I don't have as much faith in Worley after seeing the APSU game.North would have had two touchdowns if Worley hadn't under thrown him so much.He didn't have much pressure and still way short.I like Worley and believe he is the best QB we have.Maybe he was just nervous that first game and he does much better against WKU.I'll be there cheering for the Vols, just hope it was nerves Worley was having.

Why is that Gramps? Just curious to hear your take.

I don't think Peterman looked comfortable . He doesn't appear ready to play qb in the SEC. He appears to be a good athlete and has the potential. He needs another year to mature.

Worley on the other hand looked very much in contol. His played a good half, passes were not picture perfectbut lead his team to the endzone 6 times. He did have a better supporting cast than Peterman did. I believe the team has confidence in Worley. That's just my opinion. I am far from an expert.

The guy managed the AP game well, though he was off with a few throws which will definitely cost him in SEC play. Also, that lob to Devrin will be picked off by 9/10 teams. Obviously Austin Peay is the 1/10.

But I do have faith that he can be a manageable/serviceable QB with limited mistakes, largely due to coaching. I'm not so sure I'd have the same faith were Dooley at the helm. In fact, I know I wouldn't

That said, Worley waved at me once so I know he's going to be great

You're nine too high. :)

Honestly, the only reason I brought it up was because I didn't remember him going under center at all during the game. I caught it on the replay.

Honestly I don't either. I just assumed he had to take a few from under center. Had no idea it was only once.

Even Coach Jones said on a few "bad Worley" passes it was actually the receiver being off route a bit

Way too early to tell if Worley is a good SEC QB, we'll know for sure in 3-4 weeks...I hope the kid can be a competent player

Take any 13 consecutive passes from Bray last year. Did he do any better than 11-13 with one drop? Now take away CP, Hunter and White Lightning and get the same stats. Granted there weren't any bombs but there weren't any forced throws or pics either.

Sorry man, but Bray is a different talent than Worley. Different skill sets and different mentalities. Worley will (hopefully)be our caretaker and not lose the game, Bray was supposed to win the game.

Nope. It was just the one. It was down near the goal line. I think it was the last drive of the first half and it wasn't a very successful run.

Oh...Well I don't remember the ONE time lol...Thats what age does to a person :)

by no means do i consider worley the second coming, but for a little perspective ......

how did tee martin's passing look up until the USuCk game (when he set the NCAA record for consecutive completions)?

how did j crompton's passing look up until the GA game?

it's early for worley

Should've listened to CBJs presser on Monday or Tuesday. Said most of what appeared to be inaccurate passes from Worley were actually mistakes in route running from "young receivers".... broke routes off or ran routes at wrong depths. It's a timing and rhythm thing that will only get better with time and experience. Plus.... it was ONE game. He was 11-13 with 3 tds.... Can we please let him actually suck before we lose all faith in him and call for his benching?

Did you see Peterman? If you're gonna lose faith in anyone, which you SHOULD NOT at this point, it oughtta be in him.

Did CBJ say it was a bad pass or broken route? I'm more incline to think North broke the play. Let's just take one game at a time and then offer opinions. Just let the evidence build up.(good and bad)
