Faith in Worley Or Not

Probably one of the freshmen unless Peterman improves. I'd be shocked if Worley was still QB by November... teams like Alabama & South Carolina will eat him alive.

So, you see Butch using Worley as the whipping post like Simms was so we all can drool over how great the backups are when matched up against Missouri, Kentucky, and Vandy? That'll be great.

No. The freshmen simply aren't ready to take the reigns and lead the team right now. They aren't better than Worley at this point. However, the more they get comfortable in the offense and college game, the better chance they will surpass Worley.

That's right, because I post on a message board, I can't posting meaningful, accurate assessments based on statistics.

There is no need to be condescending.

I feel the need...feel free to push the chill button...don't really disagree with your point btw...but Coach Jake is qualified enough to recognize this on his own

So is Cam Cameron, but it doesn't stop him from getting fired from the Ravens last year ahead of them winning the SuperBowl.

Ability is not the same thing as intent. Just because Bajakian can see it, does not mean he will do anything about it. Which is clearly concerning.

And, with the limited experience Worley has to this point, makes you think he won't get more comfortable and improve? That's the point.

Lets see we are at 21-3 since halftime. Panic level brought down a little bit but huge room for improvement at QB. Need to play to his strengths with play calling and tempo.

I'm betting on him...commence letting hair turn grey

The coaches need to really rethink the deep ball. He's not horrible in the flats and with quick throws. He's just good enough to be like one of those cliff hangers that drive you nuts.

But the main reason Worley backers wanted him was experience. So does he have it or not? He is what he is at this point.

We need Cattleman's take on this...per him Petrino was worth 50 on his own :)

He had more experience than the others, but if you really want to call one game of significant action "experienced", that's your business. But, I love how everyone loves the backup. You give the freshmen that learning curve, but you don't with Worley?

Exactly right. Change could produce a worse situation. My biggest complaint was the duck he threw in the end zone (which I'm sure he'll hear about).

It's not just north, there was several passes that were short, under thrown, or just completely off. The throw to Johnson should have been Td if he lead him, same thing with north on two different occasions. I'm not completely burnt out on Worley yet. But I'm losing confidence in him.

On a side note I believe fergs is the QB of future just not sure when. He is a winner. And probably best arm. But what has suprised me is both last week and today, he is always talking to both offense and defense when they come off feild and walking around talking to players between drives. Really seeing leadership from him as true freshman.

You cannot fix what ails Worley: a weak arm.

Nor can you fix that when he does lead the receiver correctly, the receiver drops the pass, which happened at least twice today. And you certainly can by limiting the number of times he has to throw deep. Called utilizing his strengths.
