Faith in Worley Or Not

I don't have as much faith in Worley after seeing the APSU game.North would have had two touchdowns if Worley hadn't under thrown him so much.He didn't have much pressure and still way short.I like Worley and believe he is the best QB we have.Maybe he was just nervous that first game and he does much better against WKU.I'll be there cheering for the Vols, just hope it was nerves Worley was having.

If he had waved to you, you would not doubt his powers.

After watching the game, I have much more faith in Worley. His placement wasn't perfect, especially with North, but that will come with time. He looked much better than Peterman. But in fairness, Peterman was working with that second string OLine. The drop off from 1string to 2nd string is frightening.

Worley is the best option right now. He will make the fewest mistakes(hopefully).

Man you think a QB can correct a few slightly mistimed passes as the season progresses? Good grief.

One game and some of you have broken your bricks already , give them a chance.

More faith in Worley than in VN choosing the QB. Worley's our QB and I have faith he'll do everything in his power to win football games, he waited his time and I truly hope he will be able to play winning football.
Go Justin Worley

Nice, thanks you

The only one I think we can absolutely put on Worley without knowing for sure was the go route to North. That one looked like it was just badly under thrown to me. The other slant and crossing routes seemed to be the ones CBJ was talking about.

Don't feel bad, I'm right there with you. I didn't remember it either until I watched the replay.

It doesn't matter whether WE have faith in Worley ability it's the coaching staff that has to trust Worley. As far as what Jones does with the QBs and if Worley should be the starter he should and its really simple why: the guy protected the football and he lead the offense. The people that piss and moan about it just are too quick to judge this kid off a handful of appearances from last year in jacked up situations. He'll get better but until he proves otherwise he should be starting. From what I understand from Jones the depth chart is fluid--however I will say that tomorrow should give us all a little more understanding about Worleys skills in this offense. Will Jones turn him loose or will he lean towards the run. I'd say based on match ups he jams the run down WKU's throat.

Stats don't tell the whole story. He threw a couple of passes off his back foot, which against Austin Piss is no big deal, but it'll kill you against SEC competition. He still hasn't hit a receiver in stride.

He's the best we got though.

I still believe this.

No trust in Worley at the moment. Throws everything off his back foot like he's scared to get hit and last week threw every pass behind the receiver. If he's the best we've got... oh well.

Luckily the football gods are with us this week it seems and the defense has caused more turnovers in the first quarter than any team in the history of the universe.

Tired of seeing gimmes almost picked. Worley has to be more consistent.

But he was 11-13 last week how could this be... Stats lie man Worley just doesn't have elite arm strength. He's going to have to settle his butt down and focus on the little things. We need him as he's the best opinion we have right now. We have a decent team if he can settle down.

I'm pumped and excited for how the game is shaping up. But I am very concerned about our passing game. Didn't look good last week or today as we have a lot better competition coming up.
