Im one of UT biggest fans and hate we got beat...I don't blame butch jones at all this IS-WAS(a team coached by dooley a lawyer that knows nothing about football)...and now the game over Im happy for vandy players that being said if they think they are the greatest team in Tennessee just cause they beat us two years we been down with very bad talent they are sadly mistaken! as far as james franklin I hope them bottles hit him can't stand that po* I would beat the * out of him if I ever see him in nashville

Explain to all of us how they're NOT the best team in Tennessee right now. This is not your daddy's vandy. They beat FL, GA, and UT all on the road this year.

I heard that the candy coaches, staff and players were taunting that section. I left right when game ended and i sit opposite end of field so i didn't see it. I do not agree with throwing things at anyone. It brings us down to their crappy level. Now Throwing birds is different. Hahaha

Nothing screams home field advantage like a hostile environment. Opposing teams should HATE playing in Neyland and fear for their lives every time they set foot in our stadium.

Throwing anything at anybody in the stadium is a low class, possibly criminal act.

Disgusting.

Anybody caught throwing bottles at the opposing team should be banned from the stadium and all UT athletic events for LIFE.

"HATE?" Yes. But for fear of losing, not for fear of their lives. It's a football stadium not a a high-crime neighborhood.

This is why piss balloons should be ready at all times on home games. opposing team will think twice about taunting.

And I'm guessing mouth breathers like you are TOTALLY ok with our players having stuff thrown at them at other stadiums, right?

The Vandy players were taunting the students and fans as they we're walking off. Franklin had to yell at his players to stop. IMO if you taunt, expect a response...especially if you are in our house!

I was disappointed with the students around me, but I honestly can't say that I didn't want to. The Vandy players turned and laughed at the students for a majority of the game. Instead of cheering on their teammates, they would turn and rub it in our faces. It was classless on both sides. Vanderbilt just isn't used to success, and students, especially fifth year seniors like myself, are extremely frustrated from what we've endured since 2009.

What a lousy way to end my career as a student.

Ohhhh. That makes it all 100% justified then.

No wait, it's still juvenile and pathetic.

If our players were taunting an opposing student section, I would expect it. Apparently that makes me an uneducated hillbilly.

At the end of the day, Vandy's players are kids and kids like to run their mouths. Let them. Throwing things is an absolutely disgraceful way for any self-respecting adult to behave. But then, I realize the fanbase I'm dealing with and perhaps my expectations are too high.

I wish a lot of our fans would grow up.

Regardless of what Vandy did...this shames me and should shame us all. I have been to Columbia several times, and will again. I am always cordial to their fans bc I went there at 22 with my hot 19 year old wife in 1998 and it was 49-7 when we pulled the starters. My wife and I (vulnerable) walked out with nothing but kindness shown to us...and probably a half mile to the car. Regardless of how tough you are, when you are encountering groups of 6 to 10 drunk guys your same age you are vulnerable (if you can't carry) and we were treated great. Its called CLASS. We have been back twice since...won both games...no problems. I have always been proud of this for our fans...I could tellfolks from other teams they would be treated well in Knoxville. I am ashamed to say I can do that no longer. I am truly disturbed that we are now no different from gator fans. Never thought I would see the day.
