fans/students throwing bottles at vandy players at end

Some Vandy folks are claiming that the hot water was turned off in their locker room after the game and they were spit on and had crap thrown at them by Vol fans. This was posted on a Gator board. They were making fun of us for losing to the Doors. One lone brave Vol was on there trying to fight back, but he didn't have a chance. The Fla turds said it was worse losing to a team that lost to Ga. Southern than actually losing to G.S. Oh yeah, they want Franklin to replace Muskie.
I really HATE Gators!

Well that's not really that bad....Hell that happened when I was in highschool once after a win haha

Are you serious? No one sneaks in glass bottles unless it's an airplane bottle. The pat downs they do for the student section are far too intrusive to sneak in any hefty glass.

I saw a big bottle of Jack and Crown last night in the stadium. One was laying in the stands on the ground.

Nothing screams home field advantage like a hostile environment. Opposing teams should HATE playing in Neyland and fear for their lives every time they set foot in our stadium.

They're athletes competing in a game, not gladiators in the freakin Roman Colosseum. A little perspective people!

It was the student section. 18-22 year old kids are going to get rowdy and drunk. If you taunt thousand and of drunk pissed off college kids, you're not going to like the results.

I can't believe how astonished people are by this. I mean, this is the same student body that lit A mattress on fire when Kiffin left.

I'd e more disappointed if we had te type of student section who would take taunting sitting down from a bunch of Vanderbilt players of all people.

Who said for them to just sit there. Just saying throwing actual glass containers is not showing class. But, hard to find class anymore in this world regardless.

I don't care if Vandy players hurt a few feelings with their celebrations. They came into our house and whipped our collective asses. Losing sucks, but you don't get to unleash your impotent fury on the players like a pathetic coward from the stands by raining debris down on them.

Anyone who advocates or condones throwing stuff at players is lowlife trash, plain and simple.

Jones brought a big east staff to play a SEC staff and it showed!

Do you seriously think that when Urban Meyer left Bowling Green to head to Utah then Fla that he completely wiped out his staff and only hired proven SEC coaches? No! Every coach has to work their way up. Just because they coached in the Big East doesn't mean they can't coach and won't get it done here. Even Nick Saban himself coached at lowly Toledo before working his way up. Im sure there are plenty of Mich St fans who questioned that decision too. IT WILL TAKE TIME. Why is it so hard for UT fans to realize that we just aren't as talented as we were in the 90's. Jones is recruiting his azz off and trying to get us relevant again but too much damage has been done in the past 5 years to reverse it immediately.

So no bottles carried in purchased outside Neyland?

Students don't smuggle in glass bottles unless they're of the airplane variety.

They pat down students pretty thoroughly now. I'm not saying nobody has ever done it, but glass bottles larger than a couple ounces are few and far between.

Our students are literally Hitler.

I'm glad we did. James Franklin is an arrogant prick and their players and fans now think they own our state because they've beat us two years in a row. Go read Vandymania, it's even more pathetic than some of the threads on here. I don't think there's anything wrong with doing that, it's a risk you take going to an opposing stadium...

You are stupid. Stop watching football and go find value in your life.

You are the part of this fanbase that just needs to disappear. This attitude and the fans like this are an embarrassment to the rest of us.

He was probably still drunk at his tailgate throwing JD bottles at his TV. Just thought it was at the Vandy players on the sidelines.

I can't stand Vandy. If they never won another game in their entire sorry football history, it wouldn't bother me one bit. HOWEVER, until we begin to beat them like the doormats that they will be again, I will not call them anything but Vandy. I don't like them, I despise their coach, but you have to give them their due. They have beaten us two years in a row. We will be back and they will be back to the doormat, but until then, I will give them their creds.

I don't recall myer promising "the best staff in America" as he moved from B. Green to Utah and/or from Utah to Florida.

I do not advocate throwing things during football games. Even if it is Vanderbilt. That nonsense needs to stop. After all, we are not Florida.

I'm mostly a lurker at this forum but I'm posting in this thread.

Anyone advocating throwing glass projectiles at kids that are 18-22 years old should be banned from this forum. Period.

It was plastic water bottles, not glass bottles.

That is a completely pathetic comment. You are advocating throwing bottles at people over a game? Good lord I hope you never actually get involved with the real world.

It is never okay to put these eighteen, nineteen and twenty year old kids in danger of being injured by punk fans that throw bottles at them. No matter how much you hate their coach or their university, these kids went to school to get an education and play the game they love. It is totally classless for punk fans to act in this matter and there is no rational reasoning behind it. Grow up punks, you should be banned for life from Neyland stadium.

How much danger does a plastic bottle or some ice and popcorn pose to someone in football pads and a helmet?
