The one big criticism I have for banks, is why he went to the 4-3-4 why would he put another lb in when everybody knows Georgia ain’t running the ball. Our linebackers are all freshman and not many linebackers are good in pass cov. Made no sense

Well it’s not like they are slinging it to 5 wide receivers. Our linebackers should be able to somewhat matchup against their 3rd string rbs and tes. Of course we ran a lot of zone they just choose not to occupy the ones they’re supposed to cover.

And no matter what Georgia was going to make plays at home.. the score before half was real bad tho.

Sure some plays. The no sacks or even that much pressure from “the best dline in the country” though is a joke. That whole unit needs to look in the mirror long and hard. Because that was a money out of their pockets performance

Banks did them no favors. He kept putting them in spots over and over again that was head scratching. No blitzs. Add a linebacker to a team throwing the ball 50 times? Banks lost us the game the more and more I think about it. But yea he’s gotta own it and hopefully learn from it.

When you give up four straight drives of 80 yards or more and don’t score in the second half maybe thats more of a factor that lost the game.
Maybe your friend/defensive coordinator having no balls to go after Beck with the house had equally as much to do with it.

JPJ is still a great player, but he has lost himself a lot of money this year.

I wouldn’t say it that way. Dude has been very good all year impacting plays. Just didn’t show up much tonight, had one hold against him but not much impact other than that. This game may have lost him some money for sure though.

They should be good enough to get pressure alone at times. Just didn’t. But I agree banks botched it. Should have started blitzing earlier. We only started blitzing out of desperation late in the game and by then UGA knew it was coming

They definitely should be, but tonight Georgia o line was playing lights out. And teams every now and then are going to do that so why not start Blitzing that could’ve thrown them off balance and opened up our d line to get pressure. I don’t understand why he didn’t change anything up and help his players. I mean damn do something quit letting them drive the ball for 8 mins doin the same crap.

I didn’t understand the 12 men on the field call. They said something like players have around 3 seconds to get off the field in that situation, but I don’t remember that ever being the case. I do recall many times the official keeping his hand on the ball while everyone runs off the field for much longer than 3 seconds. The other calls I understand, but not this one.

I honestly don’t think the officiating is biased, I just think they screw up. This season I’ve seen many inconsistencies with officiating and more than a few bad calls. I’ve seen some go in GA’s favor and some not. It’s not a conspiracy, the refs just aren’t that great too often in today’s game.

The refs made plenty of questionable calls but they didn’t make our secondary not defend every pass

Heup is livid over the officiating. He tried his best to mask it throughout the whole presser, but 5:35 is when you really know how irate he is.

I wish he had gotten mad enough to rush the passer. Its ridiculous how many sacks Ole Miss had compared to how many we had last night. Their pass protection did not get that good in 4 days of practice. We went conservative and made him look like a Heisman candidate.

Agreed. But game shouldn’t have been tied 17-17 anyways. Defense was a joke tonight
Defense was a joke. Our wide receivers can’t get open nor do they come back to the ball and the play calling as per usual was abysmal.

As he should. Phantom face mask, two
“incomplete” pass fumbles recovered by us, 12 men on the field. Helped extend drives for one team, same team won.

I don’t disagree, but two separate, very, very fortunate calls on their 3rd TD drive (Facemask & 12 men on field) totally changed the game complexion… I’m not even going to mention the damn fumble on their 2nd TD drive… Every possible subjective call went against the Vols tonight
^This is just not right, it's exactly right.

His offense is hot garbage for the second straight season and the team as a whole is highly penalized and undisciplined. Maybe he should answer some questions about that and stop acting like a victim.

When you don’t watch the game and rely on a scoring drive recap, this is the best analysis one can give.

To let the play go and then call it was stupid

Very questionable call to say the least. I suspect after UGA did not execute on that play the refs were perplexed on what to do because they were partly the cause of the 12 men on the field. The reality is our coaches must be teaching loafing off the field as a strategy to slow the offense because it's worked before.

We don’t score for three quarters in a must win game and he wants to blame officiating? Terrible leadership. Someone is going to get the bad end of calls every game. Every single one. This is a weak, excuse seeking mentality from a man who is supposed to be a strong leader. Leaders look inward when things go wrong. We got our tails whipped quarters 2-4 in all facets and the refs didn’t coach our team to do that. Heup has a lot of places to look for blame on this loss, and officiating is about place #47.
