Felt like I was watching a WWE match at times tonight. Blatant bias.
It definitely piqued my interest that the 2d TD in the 2d half pushed Georgia into the cover.

Gotta pay these refs a good salary and monitor their finances. Sure felt like fixes are in on several games this year, whether UT was playing in them or not.

We will never know. I mean the dude got like 20 yards on that play so a manageable 3rd and 4. Even if they don’t still in FG range so take four points away. We still lose by double digits.
It would have been 3rd & 8

I don’t disagree, but two separate, very, very fortunate calls on their 3rd TD drive (Facemask & 12 men on field) totally changed the game complexion… I’m not even going to mention the damn fumble on their 2nd TD drive… Every possible subjective call went against the Vols tonight
There was also a clear holding that did not get called during a long passing play on that 3rd TD drive. It was visible on the live telecast and you could also see it on the replay from a different angle.

I'm still stuck on the false start Beck got away with. He was clearly moving backwards before the snap.

He should be. A handful of people here will say that’s part of the game blah blah blah but those calls directly extended drives that resulted in 14 points. It was bull poop. Side note: I loved Nico’s demeanor tonight. Go Vols.

100% agree on Nico. A few times they zoomed in on his face pre snap, the stadium was rocking and he was smiling. Kid is cool as a cucumber. He’s gonna do great.

Also, the last offsides call on us appeared to be questionable. In the replay it looked like multiple defensive players jumped slightly, but were back before the snap. They never really showed a good view of it.

That was particularly egregious, and allowed them to extend the drive to put the game away. I thought it was funny how Herbie wanted to go back and take another look and was instantly put in his place by Fowler and the rules expert. This game was heavily slanted toward Georgia from the get go.

Are you talking about the “facemask”? They weren’t in field goal range they are on their side of the field. They were getting close to mid-field but still not in scoring range.

It would have been 3rd & 8 from their own 31. The 15 yard penalty put the ball near mid field
The play gained 16 yards. Plus the penalty put them in FG range. I corrected that earlier. It would have been 3rd and 8 from midfield.

The refs made plenty of questionable calls but they didn’t make our secondary not defend every pass
If they let DBs hit them before ball got there like UGA did against Squirrel, that would have helped but the refs were with the crowd or the appointed Sankey SEC teams, we have been the Orange headed stepchild to ESPN & SEC brass for years. Even the announcers were laughing and making fun of the Orange.

We don’t score for three quarters in a must win game and he wants to blame officiating? Terrible leadership. Someone is going to get the bad end of calls every game. Every single one. This is a weak, excuse seeking mentality from a man who is supposed to be a strong leader. Leaders look inward when things go wrong. We got our tails whipped quarterswher 2-4 in all facets and the refs didn’t coach our team to do that. Heup has a lot of places to look for blame on this loss, and officiating is about place #47.
[/QUOTE

Where is he blaming officiating? What’s weak is your brain.

The play that swung momentum was in the first qt on our 2nd drive when they called Davis for holding. I believe we score on that drive. Weak ass call

It has to be a record this year for drives stalled by holding calls, especially at the time we have momentum. It’s uncanny how this continually happens.

Can’t count on getting the calls.

Hype should scheme better offensively and be more creative.

Several teams, including UGA, have put in an offensive wrinkle that our Defense hadn’t seen previously and have capitalized.

UGA consistently had the seam routes open. Why can’t Hype scheme better and make halftime adjustments?

Freaking offense is the problem.

Defense - what happened ??

How am I’m trolling or did you not watch.

2nd and 24 from 31. Pass play gained 16 yards. Would have been 3rd and 8 from 47 without the stupid penalty

I mean you're backtracking on your initial point anyways that it wasn't that impactful because they were going to kick a field goal anyways, so the right call only would have saved us 7 points.

It's ok to say "My bad, I was wrong about that. Yes that awful call screwed us"

You missed the main point and cherry picking. Doesn’t matter if they don’t score at all. We still lose. That was the main point. That and we don’t know what would have happened on 3.rd down but considering we couldnt stop them much the second half we can have a good idea.
