Pete Maravich - LSU

I know there are those that find him overhyped, selfish and a product of nepitism. But he was extraordinarily gifted and talented in college. I was fortunate to see him play for LSU several times and I still get a smile 40 years later when I remember some of the things he did. Everyone my age in the south wanted to wear #23 (his college number) long before Jordan made that number popular. I couldn't get enough of watching him play.

Sure, there are a bunch. Carmelo Anthony, Jameer Nelson, Brandon Bass, Deron Williams, David West, Mike Gansey, Caron Butler, Juan Dixon, Kevin Kruger, Wayne Simien, Chris Kramer, Levance Fields, Mateen Cleaves, Paul Harris...

Ah, familiar names, but I just gotta say Chris Kramer is probably my least favorite players of all-time along with Ben Allen. Once again I go to IU so no further explanation is needed.

If you hate Chris Kramer, it's probably best you're too young to remember Matt Painter as a player. You'd also have detested Jom Rowinski, Steve Scheffler, and Doug Lee.

Don't know if Chuck Hayes made the list, but I absolutely loved his game.
