Oakley M frame with bronze lens are my favorite now. Never owned Smith or Costa sunglasses but will probably buy one or both at some point.

When I wear them? Oakley Half Jackets or Flaks.

Toughest sunglasses I've ever seen.

I have prescription Maui Jim's that I play tennis in. Love them but the tinting is coming off the lens after 4-5 years of use. Next time I will get Costa which have a lifetime guarantee.

I got my prescription costas from Spex in Knoxville and they had their own lab do the lenses. Costa didn't have one. That's been about 10 years ago. And I wasn't impressed w the durability. Because they were prescriptions the frame had to be slightly altered to accommodate the lens and the tint couldn't be replicated like they are on their non-sprecription lenses. I bought another pair a couple years later from my opthamalogist and he said the same thing. I didn't have any issue like that w my Maui Jims which I'm coming up to 4 years on.

For all the tax paying members of VN, PRK is the greatest thing in my life. Thank you from the bottom of this Soldier's heart. Even if you didn't know that's where your tax dollars went!!!

PS, I'm single with no children so don't start thinking I'm ranking eye surgery over any of that important stuff

I have 2 pairs of Oakleys, a pair of Ray Ban aviators, 2 cheap $10 pairs from Old Navy, and some other cheap Mad Dogs from the gas station to wear at work.

Smith sunglasses.

The polarized lenses are as good as the high dollar brands. But they are 25-30% cheaper.

I like Randolph Engineering. I got the non-polarized lenses. Fantastic glare reduction, plus I can still read my dash board and the gasoline pump with then on. Lifetime warranty, to boot.

Unless you are one of the few who gets complications from surgery on otherwise healthy eyes.

It's worth the risk. I was legally blind (20/800) and had the surgery. When I got out I was 20/15. It's the most life changing thing, I believe, I could purchase with money.

I'm a big fan of Smith. Great polarized lenses and you can find them relatively affordable if you look around, so you are spared grief when they fall in the lake or the kids knock them off your head. My recent experience with their customer service solidified them as my #1.

Tried on Smith's once but never bought.

I personally think Maui Jim's are the best available if you don't care to spend the jack. I've had two pair. Can get really good deals on ebay on discontinued models. I have a $240 pair i paid $90 for.

I am currently wearing a $200 pair of REVO Aviators that I like alot. got on sale for $80. Sunglass Hut does that sometimes with Revo.

Maui Jim has an exceptional warranty. If you send them back for repair, it will be done. In alot of cases they just send a new pair. Yours are prescription, but they will make them good one way or another.

Ray Ban 3387. They quit making them and I am down to my last pair. I'll either have to roll the dice on pre-owned on ebay or switch styles and it looks like the closest thing to the 3387 that RB is now making is some sort of Ferrari frame that costs $250-$300 a pop. I do have some Costa Harpoons that I'll wear if I'm getting out on the water. If I can get into the boudoir, I'll try to post a pic of my better half's sunglasses storage rack.
