Favorite Swing of All Time

Nah. I just wanted to say Ron Cey. HR trot is classic though. Those were my teams growing up. I wasn't the regular St. Louis Cards fan as many around the south were.

I was too. My dad lived in LA for several years and crammed them down my throat. Koufax is my favorite athlete by default.

Kinda cool story for me: we were digging thru drawers and closets last year after my dad passed and found some papers that showed that he was drafted as an amateur free agent for the Cards in the early 50's.
He never said anything about it. Really, I don't remember ever listening or watching the Cards growing up. Only watched and pulled for the Dodgers.

I don't watch baseball on TV, so I guess I'm late to the game, but this Gonzalez has as good of a swing as you could have, imo.
Pure and rhythmic

From what I was alive for to witness, The Kid..........although Gonzalez's swing is beautiful

Wasn't pretty and wasn't quicker than Sheff.

Respectfully disagree... think it's a great swing to copy for the majors. Sheff's swing was okay, but almost too much chopping wood... generated a lot of backspin on the ball which helped his homerun count, but had difficulty doing anything with balls thrown in the lower strike zone.

Blasphemer.

It's really hard to argue with Griffey.

Chipper's right handed swing in his prime was a thing of beauty too.

I always loved CarGo's too.

I'll take Will Clark from the left side, A-Rod from the right side and Chipper Jones from either side.

it's really hard to argue that anyone had a purer swing than Jr. It was so pretty to watch. But I've never seen reflexes like Sheff had to get to the ball so quickly. He's a giant douche, but watching him take BP was nothing but fun, so I think I have to pick him. Will Clark's is definitely up there though.

Gary Sheffield.

Fastest swing I have seen. Cat could turn on a pitch with the best of them.

I have always loved Pujols' stance. When he sets into it, the look on his face says, "Go ahead. Try to beat me. You know I'm gonna win."
