One of the active threads referred to Donte Stallworth as one of the poster's favorite Vols of all time ... got me thinking who my favorite Vols would be.

Off the top of my head, here is my list (I am forgetting a ton of people, so that is why I am posting it - so we can all chime in)

1. Peyton Manning
2. Carl Pickens
3. Heath Shuler
4. Peerless Price
5. Chuck Webb
6. The Travises - Henry and Stephens
7. Joey Kent
8. Keith DeLong
8. John Henderson
10. Jamal Lewis

Historically based on stories from my fam, reading, etc:
1. Willie Gault
2. George Cafego
3. Johnny Majors
4. Gene McEver
5. Beattie Feathers

Just curious VolinArizona - Tee Martin over Peyton because Tee brought home the trophy?

When I was a kid, my favorite was Fuad Reveiz. The first game I ever went to when I was 8, he kicked a 60 yard FG and for awhile I was convinced that that was just the most superhuman feat imagineable.

Al Wilson number one on my list. All others are a distant second. That guy singlehandedly won the Florida game the nat'l champ year. He motivated more than any other player we've ever had.

Jerod Mayo is getting up there, too.

I have a Raynoch jersey (46), a #31 jersey and a throwback #7 jersey. The throwback #7 jersey was a gift before the UNLV game when B.S. was going to be the first ever freshman to start at QB for UT. Now, I wish it was just a regular #7 jersey.

u need more like top 20 fav. vols of all time, ten isn't enough

Throw em up there!

I didn't mean to limit it to ten. I just figured ten was a nice round number. After seeing everyone else's posts, I am between 15-20 easily myself, so I understand.

Having Cedric Houston on that list is like saying Leo Sayer is one of your 10 favorite singers. Sad.

My list starts with Al Wilson. He was the f'n man. Without him no way we win it all in 1998.

After him,

Peyton
Travis Henry
Bill Bates
JJ McClesky (sp?)
John Henderson
Chuck Webb
Alvin Harper
Dale Jones
Peerless Price

:birgits_giggle: I thought the same thing . . . but it's his list not mine. Maybe Ced got his Grandmother's cat out of a tree or something.
