When Trump-Russia wiretap was 'dry hole,' FBI wouldn't stop digging

WHEN TRUMP-RUSSIA WIRETAP WAS 'DRY HOLE,' FBI WOULDN'T STOP DIGGING. There's an incredible amount of information in special counsel John Durham's new 306-page report on the disastrous misdeeds and mistakes committed by the FBI and other government agencies in the Trump-Russia investigation. Here is one of many fascinating episodes.

People who follow the investigation are familiar with the case of Carter Page, who in 2016 was a short-term, low-level foreign policy adviser to Donald Trump's presidential campaign. Page, who was trying to make it in the energy business, had had contacts with Russians before — he had actually helped U.S. agents investigate some Russian spies. In 2016, when Page was associated with the Trump campaign, some high-level FBI officials suspected Page was involved in a collusion plot between Russia and the Trump campaign.

That was completely wrong, and the FBI should have known it for at least two reasons. First, the bulk of the so-called incriminating information it had on Page came from the Steele dossier. That, you will recall, was a work of political opposition research from former British spy Christopher Steele, who, in the pay of the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee, put together a collection of salacious untruths about a "well-developed conspiracy" between Trump and Russia. In Steele's conspiracy fantasies, Page was a super-duper mastermind, which was unusual because people who knew Page would not describe him as a super-duper mastermind.

1. Africa is typically younger, healthier, and outdoors more than we are.
2. Mexico got hit as proportionally as the US did, with most of those deaths being centered in Mexico City, and not much beyond. They are actually more obese than we are, some how.
3. Sao Paulo did get hit hard, they accounted for half of Brazils total cases.

its not some conspiracy for a disease to have "preferred" methods of spreading. this one targeted older, less active populations. if you look at the cases in Africa most of their deaths are also in the older demographic. The US trends 20 years older than parts of Africa, and while its a terrible metric BMI says we also trend a "weight class" heavier than our African peers.

I also tend to think with our reliance on medicine many western cultures had made themselves more vulnerable to diseases. Our immune system doesn't have to fight as many things, so they are less developed. Meanwhile in Africa Covid is probably disease threat number 200 they deal with, so their bodies were ready to fight it off.

The southern/northern hemisphere and tropical region issue probably made a difference to some extent, too. Some regions were locked into indoors because of season/temperature while others were less cooped up together. I'd bet a real look into dispersion, proximity, air circulation, population density, as well as factors you brought up would explain a lot of regional differences. If you really want to be cynical, some of those places might have been too nasty for Covid to survive.

Vivek Ramaswamy Promises To Pardon People Convicted In ‘Politicized Prosecutions’ In Latest Shot At FBI

Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy said he would “pardon” people convicted in “politicized prosecutions” in a Wednesday Twitter post.

“We need to actually solve the cancer in the administrative-police state. I will shut down toxic agencies like the FBI & IRS,” Ramaswamy said. “I’ll pardon any federal defendants who were convicted in politicized prosecutions. It takes an outsider to get the job done.” (RELATED: ‘We Don’t Weaponize The Law’: Vivek Ramaswamy Rips Verdict In E. Jean Carroll Case, Defends Trump)

Ramaswamy cited the case of Douglass Mackey, a social media troll who went by “Ricky Vaughn 99” on Twitter, during a video clip posted along with his tweet. A jury convicted Mackey on charges stemming from memes posted on the social media site in the run-up to the 2016 election in March, in which he urged Clinton supporters to “text” their vote rather than going to the polls.

‘They Want To Be In Charge’: Sen. Josh Hawley Calls For ‘Top To Bottom Housecleaning’ At FBI

Republican Sen. John Hawley of Missouri called for a “top to bottom housecleaning” at the FBI Wednesday, citing revelations from Special Counsel John Durham’s report.

Durham released a report on the origins of the FBI investigation of allegations that former President Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign colluded with Russia Monday that found that the FBI “did not and could not corroborate” the claims from the now-discredited Steele Dossier. The FBI acknowledged the findings of the Durham report in a statement released Monday.

“What we learned from the Durham report is the Clinton campaign successfully leveraged the FBI to try and rig a presidential election in 2016 and they just about got away with it. I mean, they just about got it done,” Hawley told Fox Business host Larry Kudlow, a former Trump administration official. “We know in 2020 they did successfully interfere in the election suppressing the Hunter Biden story as you’ve just been detailing. So what needs to change? For one thing, all the leadership has to change. The leadership of the FBI has got to go.” (RELATED: Vivek Ramaswamy Calls For Shutting Down FBI, Rooting Out ‘Corruption’ In Response To Durham Report)

If he can convince me he’ll really shut down the FBI and IRS, he’s got my vote.

Catholic Father of Seven Testifies That FBI Targeted Him For Being Pro-Life

Catholic father and pro-life activist Mark Houck testified in front of the House Judiciary Committee, recalling when an FBI official raided his home in front of his seven children.

Houck told Congress he believes the FBI raid was designed to humiliate him, scare his children, and "instill fear in pro-life America."

On September 23, five FBI agents arrived at his home at 6:30 in the morning, pointing M-16 rifles at Houck and his young children.

"My children were downrange of many guns, and they screamed throughout the process. The committee should know they were traumatized," the devout Catholic said.

Houck's home was raided after the father reportedly shoved a pro-abortion clinic volunteer, Bruce Love, who was intimidating his 12-year-old son. The FBI took up the case, claiming Houck violated the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act.

During Tuesday's hearing, Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) argued that the woke agency targeted Houck for being pro-life.

"So if you're pro-family, pro-life, and you want a border, you're a target — and your family fits all of them," Jordan told Houck. "You're a pro-life, pro-family Catholic, for goodness' sake; they're going to come after you. You've got seven kids. You're not allowed to have seven kids today, you know, we're trying to save the planet. You can't do that in America today. You were the example. That is how pervasive this political attitude is at the highest levels of our agencies."

We are already fragmented. States just haven’t made the move yet. We will finally see States tell the federal government to kick rocks, we will govern ourselves.
