G.O.P. Witnesses, Paid by Trump Ally, Embraced Jan. 6 Conspiracy Theories

Democrats said a trio of witnesses billed as “whistle-blowers” provided no evidence of wrongdoing, espoused false claims about the Capitol riot and were compensated by an ally of former President Donald J. Trump.

House Republicans have spent months promising to use their majority to uncover an insidious bias against conservatives on the part of the federal government, vowing to produce a roster of brave whistle-blowers who would come forward to provide damning evidence of abuses aimed at the right.

But the first three witnesses to testify privately before the new Republican-led House committee investigating the “weaponization” of the federal government have offered little firsthand knowledge of any wrongdoing or violation of the law, according to Democrats on the panel who have listened to their accounts. Instead, the trio appears to be a group of aggrieved former F.B.I. officials who have trafficked in right-wing conspiracy theories, including about the Jan. 6, 2021, attack at the Capitol, and received financial support from a top ally of former President Donald J. Trump.

The roster of witnesses, whose interviews and statements are detailed in a 316-page report compiled by Democrats that was obtained by The New York Times, suggests that Representative Jim Jordan of Ohio, the chairman of the panel, has so far relied on people who do not meet the definition of a whistle-blower and who have engaged in partisan conduct that calls into question their credibility. And it raises questions about whether Republicans, who have said that investigating the Biden administration is a top goal, will be able to deliver on their ambitious plans to uncover misdeeds at the highest levels.

Exposing the usual nonsense from Republicans who don't want to accept that Jan. 6 was a disgraceful, treasonous episode in American history.

DC security clearances are currency. They can be used to end or enable a career. In this case revoking a clearance is the same as ending a job. In another instance, a flag officer, unelected bureaucrat, or political appointee with an expired job that required a clearance can keep the clearance as a way to slide into another position. A cheap way of preference that keeps an outsider who doesn't have a clearance from being a legitimate contender for a job ... and the swamp continues without a breath of fresh air.

He also said he would get rid of affirmative action as well and start defunding the other alphabet agencies like DOE etc..
Vivik is saying alot a good thing right now

All politicians say a lot of things, and their constituents hear what they want to hear. Find a way to hold elected politicians accountable for what they promise, and we might be on to something. In the end a politician can promise anything and walk away from it because the opposition blocked it ... just as he/she knew they would when making the false promise.

The gop needs to keep bringing up these vote if nothing more than to show Americans what they are. Though it will not matter, Biden will win again.

Most people will never know because the "news" media will cover for the dems as usual. For exposed dems, silence is golden, and their lackeys in the press will keep it so.

Oh, well Jerry Nadler said it, so it must be true. By the way, we’re all still waiting on the super duper explosive evidence that Congressman Schiff said that he had seen in regards to Russian Collusion. It’s only been four years, don’t know what’s taking so long…..

I wonder why we don’t have 5 threads from LG crying about them not agreeing to and interview? He sure was critical of Trump and everyone else who refused to cooperate with the Muell.
@hog88 You will never reach the level of Troll until you start changing your standards and beliefs to fit the media narrative of the day. Obviously that was a different situation than this because we are told that it is.

Do better! 😉

If the Democrat party decided tomorrow they wanted to round up the Jews and send them to camp, LG would find a way to come over to VN and defend the party.

If one had to get it done, I’d suggest assigning the Jan 6 investigators to make the arrest and then find the crimes.
Very astute, comrade! They'll be in the gulag before they know why they've been arrested. Stalin would be proud.

FBI Whistleblower hearing in CHAOS: Democrat tries to catch out witness with Tweets From WRONG Account as her colleagues spar with Republicans and try to derail witnesses laying out 'rot' in the bureau

Suspended FBI agents Garret O'Boyle, Steve Friend and Marcus Allen are testifying Thursday before the committee to detail the alleged 'abuses of power' by the federal bureau's leadership - ranging from discrimination against conservatives to inflation of domestic terrorism statistics.

'Get ready — because [the Democrats] are gonna come after you,' Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, warned the witnesses at the start of the hearing.

His warning rang true after the ranking member on the committee, Democratic Rep. Stacey Plaskett began casting doubt that the witnesses could even be considered 'whistleblowers' in a fiery opening statement during which she slammed Republicans for apparently withholding the previous testimony of the witnesses.

In a testy exchange between the top Republican Jordan and Democratic Rep. Linda Sanchez of California, the congresswoman accused the committee of withholding Marcus Allen's testimony specifically.

She asked for a copy of the testimony from his transcribed interview a few months ago, to which Jordan said 'the whistleblower didn't want that to happen.'

She replied that since he is comfortable enough to share is story in an open forum at the hearing, surely Jordan could turn the testimony over to his Democratic colleagues.

Jordan snapped back, saying Sanchez did not declare a 'point of order' and must move forward with her allotted five minutes of questioning.

Sanchez continued on to question Allen regarding a tweet under the handle @MarcusA97050645 that stated 'Nancy Pelosi staged January 6.'

Allen replied that the account the congresswoman referred to is not his domain and must belong to another 'Marcus Allen.'

'I don't know, ma'am. That's not my account,' said Allen.

Despite the fact he didn't author the tweet, Sanchez pressed him to answer on whether or not he agreed with the tweet, to which he replied 'no.'

Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., weighed in on the exchange, pulling up a tweet by another Linda Sanchez account that stated: 'Donald Trump is the greatest President of my lifetime!'

Gaetz cheekily tweeted in response: 'Congresswoman Linda Sanchez MUST answer for her tweet!'

If he can convince me he’ll really shut down the FBI and IRS, he’s got my vote.

The one unfortunate thing during President Trump's administration was how General Flynn was taken down. Had this not happened thing would have looked much much different.
