Fear the Walking Dead

Also I think the marine wanted to inflict mental pain on Salazaar and torture him by killing his daughter. He missed and made that scene lame IMO. Better if she dies there because of his sins

Well finished up season one and I am just meh. I will definitely watch season two, but I was underwhelmed to say the least. I just don't find any of the characters appealing or even really likable to this point.

Does anybody like Rick on TWD anymore? Survivors can be some sorry SOBs.

What I mean is I just don't feel anything one way or another. It's not that the acting is bad it's just they all seem bland and generic to me.

I completely agree. I will probably continue to watch but that's just bc it will air at a time when no other good shows are on

A couple things actually really bugged me about this season finale.

We assume the doctor just stays there and kills herself with the bolt gun. A doctor in the apocalypse is a giant asset so the writers killing her off was just a waste.

The soldier kid comes back and shoots the girl in the arm? That scene and that shot made absolutely no sense to me. He was clearly going to shoot Salazar but changed his mind and shot her instead. What?!

Yea I agree on the doctor part but disagree with the soldier . I thought killing his daughter was the perfect revenge torture . I hate that she survived that tho . It would of been better if she died

Best episode by far to a solid first season; will be interesting to see where the yacht plot takes the story. Getting seabound seems like the most logical choice given their opinions. Strand is by far the most intriguing character so far; really want to know his back story

It just kills me, I'm a prepper, I can keep my family safe and alive for a while in this scenario.(barring injuries or illness) (but then I have medical training)
The lack of preparedness makes me cringe watching these shows, but I love it.
I just want to see a few characters who absolutely thrive in this situation! Who have been prepared and don't make stupid choices.

I'm not preparing for the ZA, by any means.

But more realistic events : invasion(military, not ET)/ economic collapse/ natural disasters

While I understand people have hearts and care for one another, I'm not putting my families lives at risk for some strangers with a sick older lady. I would have told Strand to gtfo or give me his boat.

I'm ready for faster decision making and adaptability in TWD and FTWD

First seasons with six episodes trend that way IMO. I'm more interested in outbreak details than personal relationships at this point anyway.

The solider part was pretty dumb I thought. They handled him going from sympathetic character to villain very poorly.

Overall I thought it was a good first season; not as good as TWD's first season but good enough to keep watching.

I'm still a little annoyed by the 9 day jump that skipped the military occupation. The subsequent withdrawal of the military was rushed as well.

The characters weren't great but kinda grew on me as the season went on. Travis seemed like a bit of a wuss until the last episode. The teenage girl is cute (thankfully the actress is 22 so I don't feel dirty saying that lol). The overall dynamic was interesting with the ex wife and all. Kinda hate that didn't get to develop a little more.

I have to agree with Coug about the Dr though. Hopefully she changed her mind and they bump into her again. Also about the soldier BF shooting the daughter. It didn't make sense.

Otherwise I thought the finale was pretty good.

I really don't understand Travis shooting his ex, or her wanting to be shot for that matter. Seems like they would have tried to treat her. I know the doc told her that they can't stop the infection and death/zombie is inevitable, but they are still early in the outbreak and surely don't feel certain they know all the answers. And doctors are wrong a lot. Seems like they would have at least tried. I know I would have in that situation.

I think she had witnessed patients turning and by then had seen enough cases to convince her there was no hope. Plus they had just been in a facility where they had all the resources to treat it and they were failing, now they are on their own; so how would they possibly treat it?

Have to agree. Her wound didn't even look that bad. At least wait until she was at a point of no return.

The 9 day jump really bugged me considering this show was hyped to be how everything collapsed.

I just chocked it up to her not being meant to stick around anyway. The whole wife/ex wife scenario was going to continue being awkward.

BTW nobody has mentioned the romantic relationship that appears to be being built between the siblings.

STEP siblings...very important.

They're not siblings whatsoever,Travis and Madison aren't married.

Also I had a feeling the ex wife was gonna be killed off, since the actress who plays her is her is also in Orange is the Black.
