Fear the Walking Dead

Was a really good mid-season finale. I'm glad Nick has finally started to become something other than a Johnny Depp cosplayer.

I don't know if any of you also watch Talking Dead but I'm glad Chris Hardwick brought up the sexual tension between Madison & Troy. I knew I wasn't the only one seeing it.

Speaking of Troy I knew I had seen the actor somewhere before but it took me just now looking up Wikipedia to realize that he was in the 2nd & 3rd season of Teen Wolf.

One question has it been said where the ranch is supposed to be? Arizona, Utah, West Texas?
You watched the 2nd and 3rd season on Teen Wolf? Umkay.

At this point I honestly think the only thing the parent program has over Fear is better characters, which honestly is a big deal and is ultimately all that matters I guess. But I do feel Fear has better writing, a slightly more interesting storyline going, and overall better acting.

It will never match the popularity of the main show, won't even get close and will probably end before it does, but I feel it does do many things just as good and some better.

I've watched every season except for the current one as it was already six episodes in before I knew it was back on.

So I'll wait and pick up the DVD set when I find it for a good price.

While it got to be cheesy at times I've enjoyed the series and found it to be pretty entertaining and solid show. Not to mention Holland Rodden for the eye candy.

I'd had given up on this show but y'all are making out like it's done a complete 180.

It would have to be close to the Cali coast line. Arizona or Cali. Yuma?

I stopped about halfway through season 2. Has it picked up enough to give it another shot?

That was a pretty good mid-season finale. Did they bring in different writers this season? It's been surprisingly better than last season.

This season has been improved. Season 2 almost made me quit so I came into season 3 with little excitement.

It's not top 3 show on tv improvement, but I'm liking it better than either of the first two seasons.

I think that this half-season has been the best yet for this series.
Still the characters are lacking something. I am not really invested in any of them. Except for Daniel.

Something else that's missing are the iconic weapons of TWD: Rick's Python, Carol's trench knife, Daryl's crossbow, Michonne's katana, Negan's bowie knife and of course Lucille. It's a shame that nothing has really become a character's weapon of choice...

I think they might progress to personal weapons. At this point in TWC only Rick's gun and Daryl's Crossbow were in play.

Season 3 had Michonne and her katana.
Carol started carrying her trench knife.

I think the writers took away Alicia's switch blade because ultimately it's not an ideal zombie killing weapon. Why hasn't someone used an ice pick? That'd be a great brain stabber.

Butterfly knife, not switchblade...

Ice pick may be too skinny to disrupt brain function, unless they stab at brainstem from the back. Through the foramen magnum at the base of the skull...

It is a thin weapon but I think it'd work, especially if you crossed hemispheres with the pick.

Just caught up and I can't believe this is the same show. Season 3 has been night and day better than season 2. Where there a different set of writers for this season? Seriously I've enjoyed the first half of this season more than I did the second half of TWD last season.

So the second half of the season doesn't start until September 10th.

Yep, with a 2-episode premier.

It's Final will then be October 15 with the Season Eight premier of The Walking Dead the next Sunday on October 22nd.
