I Just listened to NPR news (I know, it was horrible). They did finally mention the classified documents and they announced the special counsel. But when announcing the latest documents they said they were found in “Biden’s home”. Words totally missing “garage” and “Corvette”

I understand where you're coming from but I wholeheartedly disagree. If the military isn't under complete control of the elected civilian leadership we'll shortly be under military rule. The day we made the president the leader of his own military was the day the constitution was ratified and it has been the best system of government and control of military power ever devised by man. Yes it's in shambles now but I wouldn't ever change the structure, just the people.

The military is under civilian control as long as the civilian control handles the purse strings, decides troop levels and promotions, and decides who will be chiefs of staff, etc. Not sure where it starts, but the O-6 level requires congressional approval - generally a rubber stamp you'd think, but sometimes promotions are refused. There's also the posse comitatus law that prevents the use of troops against US citizens. I guess I'm more concerned with a president using the military as a private army or screwing things up like LBJ than the military going rogue. Besides is the president really the CIC if he can't even direct military funds or troops to secure our borders? Congress claims they have the sole right to decide where and how troops and funding are used.

I love the qualifiers in every story about Biden. No . . . I don't think there's anything particularly sinister about this discovery, but it's comical watching news outlets go out of their way like MSN did here.

Yep, like how long the documents were missing. Trump's "stolen" documents followed him to his home for whatever reason, and were missing for less than a couple of years. Supposedly people were calling for their return, so at least somebody knew they were missing. Biden's documents have been missing for something like six years minimum, weren't even in his custody, and nobody claims to have known they were gone. Screams of coverup or complete incompetence of the obama regime. Worse is that nobody even knows who might have handled the documents joe lost over six years ago because nobody knows who was in and out of the office where they were found. Then there's the Queen of Security Nightmares that nobody is talking about. But take a couple of snapshots in a sub and you are sunk.

Go ahead and think about the ramifications of what you are claiming. It is nonsense. You might be the only person in America that believed Trump when he said he could declassify documents by thinking about it.

So is there an actual procedure that a president has to follow to proclaim that documents are no longer classified - in front of witnesses or with signed documents? If not, what's the difference in just thinking it? If the president is the end all be all, then what keeps him in line? It's pretty amazing that we have reams of documents dictating what citizens can and cannot do, but it seems like only vague guidelines (or codes that are just suggestions really) apply to politicians. Even appropriations by congress apparently are only binding on some presidents and slush funds for others.

Yes, he could do that. Obama could have said he declassified them before he left office. But that ship has sailed so what we have now is a sitting president that has absolutely no defense or excuse for possessing those documents.

What everyone should be up in arms about in both the Trump and Biden cases is how the hell does classified material go missing for months/years without anyone knowing?

In a world where the GDP of about 3 European countries is missing from a DOD audit I’m past being up in arms.

Satan's good; Garland's special counsel isn't even going to let a little breeze in. Those special counsels work two ways: some are out to get somebody, and others are to protect and serve. This one is a protective measure to make sure nobody finds anything ... think Kennedy assassination.

Garland’s job is to send a message to Biden. If he announces he will not seek re-election, this all goes away. If he stubbornly persists (or should I say if “Doctor” Jill persists in running in 2024, they will keep turning up the heat until he relents

The probably used words like "cooperating" and "mistake" though. Totally different way they report than when dealing with Republicans.

Can we publicly execute both Trump and Biden? And then, just for kicks, let's publicly flog Don Jr. and Hunter. Both sides happy and we can finally move on as a nation and start shrinking the power of the federal government.

Only if we get to execute at least 90% of congress and hang obama twice ... and force the clintons to double tap themselves. Oh and abolish several agencies and all their "public servants". If we're gonna clean house, then we need to do it right.
