Federal Indictment of Donald Trump

Sooo why didn't he do the reasonable thing and hand them over? Instead of just hide them again? Even flood his own house? He must have really not wanted those documents to ever see the light of day again. Wonder why.
Biden didn’t do the responsible thing and took them knowing he had no authority. And then had them at multiple locations.

And when they said, "hey, you aren't supposed to have those, give them back" he did exactly that. Trump doubled down and hid them again. See the difference?

This will ultimately end up before the SCOTUS, which will likely rule in favor of the Executive. Seems the left wins either way though, as a ruling in favor of Trump will be used by the media to weaken SCOTUS.

Did Biden have the documents from his time as Vice President? If so, did Obama declassify them?

Had Obama done it, it would be public knowledge to further discredit Trump. It would be on every station for weeks on how noble and by the book it was.

So being in possession of classified documents isn’t a crime as long as you say you’re sorry and give them back?

Biden and Pence did not realize it. The docs were discovered inadvertently and immediately returned, very small in number.

Trump took FIFTEEN boxes of them (reports are some may be missing), knew he had them, knew the Archives and then the FBI were lawfully demanding they be returned. And he refused. Repeatedly.

Enormous difference.

Not that you care about that.

Well, lying about it multiple times and then continuing to hide them multiple times is certainly different than "my bad, here you go." Any cop will tell you that.

Do you realize how many times officers have probably heard that same thing and thought "yeah, bullsh**"

Hot take. If it was up to me, all 3 of their sorry a$$e$ would already be in cuffs and under the jail. If I had even thought of handling classified material the way they have you can guarantee that I would have lost my clearance, been court martialed and thrown out of the service with either a Dishonorable Discharge or a big chicken dinner. No man is above the law and I say prosecute them all.

It really all comes down to this; if one has documents in one's possession, that the FBI knocks on your door asking for, you would be doing yourself a favor to turn over said documents. Lying and hiding them AGAIN is a good way to appear very guilty of something. Just hand them over when they ask, it's that easy.
