It's a morality tale concerning people who are afraid of speaking truth to power, for fear of being judged inferior by their peers. Ultimately, a child is the one who has to acknowledge reality. A little girl is able to speak the truth, when adults won't, because she hasn't yet been groomed to learn such a fear.

That story is a perfect allegory of the current state of the Republican Party.
