Federal Indictment of Donald Trump

Yeah. Except it's a freaking federal law. There are laws I don't agree with, but if I break them, I assume I have to deal with the consequences.

The president is the one who determines what is and is not classified. Hard to claim he violated a federal here. Also seems very similar to the Hillary situation yet there was no fbi raid on her home, she was known to have broken the law, and yet they refused to prosecute here.

So why is this being treated different?

Not if he did not declassify them prior to leaving office. Also Hillary went through a massive investigation.

I'm sure it will be entertaining and filled with as much whatabouting and as many "witch hunt" accusations as this.
I refer you back to the HRC threads.
They’re exactly the same with the sides and arguments flipped.

with me saying “nothing is going to happen “ mixed in

You misspelled "golfs"
For you this is like finding your Christmas present early and it’s exactly what you wanted so when you see the box under the tree you already know what you have and you’re still excited. And then you open it and find out that present you thought you were getting didn’t actually happen.

This isn't even about Trump and what happens to him. It happened and it is not good even just for optics.

I bought an EEPROM programmer back in the 90's and about 6 months later received a faux copy of a federal lawsuit against me for "stealing" Direct TV's signal. If I sent them $2000 they would drop the lawsuit, otherwise they would go ahead and file it and would cost me legal fees and if I lost, a judgement of $20-$40k. I cowered down and paid the money they alleged I stole from them.... Lol.

So your crime is a possible oversight (we don’t even know for a fact it happened, they may be declassified)?

And you’re defending this? Would you have defended a raid on the Clinton home right before the presidential election?

I am not defending anything bc I don't know what they are looking for or evidence they have. You dismissing off hand is pretty dumb however

The SAT analogy section was a struggle for you, wasn't it?

It’s just absurd. Why would you have thought it was illegal. But we have more laws than anyone can keep up with. And so discretion is used in prosecution. Which means people can then be targeted.
That one is truly mind-boggling. I can understand fees and whatnot but to make it a crime is insane.

My stance is the same as it's been from the beginning. If you do something this extreme you better find something major. I've not waivered on that. I'm skeptical for two big reasons. One, they've not told us anything yet. Two, the entire government under Biden, especially the justice department, has been insanely and overtly political.

on the topic of too many laws - this book is entertaining

Have you ever clogged a toilet in a national forest? That could get you six months in federal prison. Written a letter to a pirate? You might be looking at three years in the slammer. Leaving the country with too many nickels, drinking a beer on a bicycle in a national park, or importing a pregnant polar bear are all very real crimes, and this riotously funny, ridiculously entertaining, and fully illustrated book shows how just about anyone can become—or may already be—a federal criminal.
