Federal Indictment of Donald Trump

There were many who wanted to stay loyal to the King. There were many who wanted the US to become a monarchy. Hamilton even proposed such an idea at the Contitutional Convention. Throwing off tyrants whether it be an oppressive King or an oppressive Democracy in name only that has consolidated and become authoritarian is quite similar to me.

Essentially what you’re saying is that the American system has no more inherent value than the monarchy we left. I mean the fundamental difference is self-determination, meaning that, in your view, self-determination is of no value. It’s just a form of government like a dictatorship and that there’s no problem if a political movement wants to switch between them and deprive other people of the right to decide for themselves whether they want to live under a monarchy, a dictatorship, a republic, or a democracy.

Restated, I believe what you’re saying is, “If so many people disagree with us that we don’t get what we want, it’s okay to take the right of choice away from the people who disagree with us.”

Do you disagree that that’s what you’re saying?

The White House has Declared War On Its Own Citizens - and, shockingly, America has never been closer to a Police State, writes RICHARD MINITER

America is spiraling out of control.

From the unprecedented raid on Mar-a-Lago, to the seizure of a congressman's phone, to our doddering commander-in-chief, who increasingly seems like a man who doesn't have the sense or stamina to serve out his term.

And now, America is on the edge of another political nightmare.

We are less than 100 days away from the election of a new Congress to run the country – while the de facto leader of the Republican base delights in stoking his supporters' darkest suspicions under the shadow of a sincerely suspect investigation.

It feels like the country is battling under crashing waves, struggling for a breath, but the rollers keep coming.

Meanwhile, Biden has left town – yet again – for a beach vacation with his son – who has a federal probe looming over his head.

It is true that four years of the Trump presidency, with its independent prosecutors, riots, mobs pulling down statues, the two failed impeachments, and Covid lockdowns - were also disturbingly shambolic.

But that was supposed to be over when America ejected the Orange Man from the White House. It's not over and it's getting worse.

You can bet that if Trump was imprisoned tomorrow...it would get even worse. This is a political ideological game

That is melodramatic nonsense.

Donald Trump failed to comply with a subpoena, so a search warrant was obtained by the Department of Justice for the purpose of reclaiming government property, which Donald Trump had improperly removed from The White House, upon leaving office.

Why didn't he simply hand over the requested documents? He was given a chance to do so.

Trump is the only chance we have at this point at a real good president. I just hope enough has been done to him to make him what he should've been. I want the Trump that actually makes the idiots on the board, want to kill themselves. If we get that, we'll finally have a decent president.
That's the spirit.

Just like to point out Sandy Berger stuffed documents down his pants in regard to Bill Clinton and Bin Laden. Got a slap on the wrist.

Pardon me if I don't take the DOJ seriously in this manner.
Donald Trump will get less than a slap on the wrist. This whole situation was avoidable. Why didn't he simply comply with the subpoena?

For Trump supporters, this is typical. It really is all about "owning the libs." Pure tribalism.
