Ferguson Riots

Not really. If there are laws that don't need to be enforced then why are they on the books? In the case of Garner, if they would not detain and cite/arrest everyone doing the exact same thing then it's a useless law. Officers are not law makers

Every time a leo stops you, do you insist on a ticket? Will you not leave until said officer cites you?

Furthermore do you insist on paying the highest penalty for said offense?

It's my responsibility to tell them what their job is? The state takes enough of my money as it is

If a law does not need to be enforced then why is it even there?

So is that a yes or a no?

We are not discussing your responsibility. Just your conviction to your stated opinion on the subject....

I have been pulled over multiple times. Cited only 3 times. Could have been more. But, because I acted like an adult, the officer used his disgression on whether I got the ticket.

I am not in enforcement so what you think you're trying is worthless. Either do your job properly or don't. If there are laws that are not enforced simply because someone said yes sir to the badge then it's a useless law designed to do nothing more than raise revenue for the state. It's the type of enforcement that cost a man his life

PJ,
I'm not trying anything. But I've got the feeling that if a cop lets you off with a warning, you won't be giving him/her the "what for" because they didn't enforce the law you broke.

Repeat offender of an unjust law means nothing to me.

That's irrelevant. It does mean something where it is a law. Want the law changed, get people to unite and have your voice heard. Don't just keep perpetuating the same infraction over and over. That's asinine and just makes you look like a thug to law abiding citizens.

What unjust law are you referring to? Do you think his record only shows the selling of cigarettes?

His past record doesn't factor because the law they are enforcing in this case is one that is unjust. I am sure he broke some just laws, but that is in the past.

Do u have any common sense at all? If u break the law and want any chance of getting out of it all....the best way to do that is not to tell the one whose choice it is to F off.....

I think u need to watch Chris Rocks video....How to not get your a&& kicked by the police......very funny and true

It's a joke, dude. I stroke cops too. It only works if they're not on their period.

Sure it does...... The cops and Garner obviously knew each other. We have no idea what the history between them is...... Just keep telling yourself he was a big lovable teddy bear that was just selling a cig or two

Must take a lot of "critical thinking" to decide what laws are just and unjust. Too bad what you think doesn't mean s***.

He sold a lot of cigarettes, I'm sure

I have not called him big nor lovable, nor have I made any comment about what kind of person he is.

Stop misrepresenting other people's positions. It makes you a fraud.

Ahhhh...the old "what you think doesn't mean ****" argument. The same argument Scottie "Potty" Thomas used against me in the 2nd grade.

I still don't have a comeback for it.

Did this dumb ass forget Denzel Washington, Jamie Foxx and Forest Whitaker have all won in recent memory?

And this made me lulz:

"The movie industry is like the Rocky Mountains, the higher you get, the whiter it gets," Sharpton quipped in a statement released later in the afternoon.

Forgetting this:

Samuel L. Jackson Highest-Paid Actor in the World - Mediamass

And apparently he has no idea how much Denzel, Will Smith, Morgan Freeman or Jamie Foxx charge per movie...

It's understandable that he may have been confused. He's been extremely busy protesting the last few years, and is absolutely appalled at the minority of white b-ball players voted into the NBA All Star game.
