Martinez has played with what he has been given all.season. Injuries have decimated our secondary. Look at all those who were out last night. The talent level isn't there. We need some top end Portal or JUCO DB's who can contribute immediately. Even when healthy, our DB's have struggled. It's not coaching its the talent.

Going forward , I think we're good at star and safety. Walker , McDonald , Slaughter, Charles etc . Where we're hurting is corner , hopefully the 23 recruiting class produces a couple lock down corners .

He could, but doubt he does. Very few folks in the industry are not aware of the biggest issue with our DB play and it is not the coach. They have orchestrated a plan with SO FAR 6 HS guys and smart money says they add a couple from the portal to mentor those FR next year. Doubt Coach is going to risk members of this recruiting class fearing change. The serial call for his job by folks hiding behind screen names is a bit embarrassing. Obviously invoking the if you say it enough it must be true doctrine.

We really just need to find one to take away one side of the field. We can scheme up the other side. Put we definitely need help at the corner position. Burrell coming back is not the help I was talking about either. He might be worse than what we have now

We could definitely use some CB help from the portal ! If I'm not mistaken , we got Dee Williams from the portal last year . I hope he can develop into a lock down corner .
