Fights coming?

Lulz…. Cmon OP, really?

Most people who attend a college football game are not looking for a fight. And I would wager that most are mature and well-adjusted enough to keep it sane. No matter what colors they wear.

I guess there are always a few morons on both sides, but that is the case at any game.

Attending football games is a contact sport.
I attend with children. I prefer they not be exposed to domestic violence and criminal assault excused by attitude like yours. They shouldn't have to navigate this to see a sports event.

FYI, the law agrees with me. The last time i saw the Court process an assault charge, it tacked on an extra misdemeanor because kids were nearby. Perhaps consider that before you normalize violence in a public place. It's actually not normal....

Worst fans in CFB are Georgia and Ohio State.

If you're not wearing their colors within 30 miles of the stadium, you're a target.

With 1/4-1/3 of the seats in Columbus filled by orange-clad crazies, there will be fights.
Sure there will be lol

I have loads of friends who are die-hard Buckeyes since I used to live in Ohio. Great people, great fans, good sports, and not at all interested in fighting. Anyone interested in fighting over a ball game is either drunk or mentally deficient. Or just immature. And for the record, I've heard more folks describe Tennessee fans as the absolute worst in college football than any other fanbase. As others have said, there are nobs in all fanbases. Don't glorify them. They make us all look bad.

Been to Athens a couple of times. Never got in a fight.
One of the most enjoyable games I ever experienced was in Athens. One of the worst was in Tuscaloosa...where, after a loss, a drunk Tennessee fan was assaulting every Bama fan nearby on the walk out of the stadium. It was violent and scary and very unpleasant (I was just a kid). He got his clock cleaned by a group of Bama fans who left him lying face down on the grass, for which I was grateful. When that stuff happens, team loyalty takes a back seat to general safety.

I think thos takeover talk is silly. I am betting we have 15 to 20k which is good attendance, but everyone will be disappointed when they see more scarlet because of their expectations

I’ve seen better fights at a Tupperware party
Still no vaccine for stupidity. And it shows Vols fan snickering at other fan bases that fight among themselves, we're no better. Bit of h8mbleness is a good idea.

14 degree wind chill at kickoff. Pretty sure everyone is going to be too wrapped up to be able to throw much of a punch. Besides, at 14 degrees, pretty sure your concentration will be on the game and staying warm. Not what the other fans are doing.

How many tickets actually made it to the secondary market? I keep seeing where 30-40% of tickets were sold to TN residents but 30-40% of how many?

I read yesterday that Tennessee so far has picked up 42% of the tickets. And with the prices dropping on the secondary market, it could be close to 50-50, which would be awesome. Neyland North!
