My last trip to Athens I saw the nastiest punch thrown by a Tennessee fan on a Dawg fan...We won the game and we were walking to a resturant for after game snacks when some UGA guy and his buddy walked up to a UT fan and stole his hat, The UT guy just laughed about it as they threw it on the ground and started barking at it "Yes I know" lol so he asked for it back and they got all cocky and said come and get it and got in his face, Well he did and he hit that guy so hard I thought he killed him, Laid him flat out on the street in front of the stadium and not one person came to his rescue lol..Even his buddy backed off...He finally woke up and I bet he'll never do that stupid crap ever again...Fights do happen, I almost got into a fight every year I went to Gainesville...I'm not a violent person but be damned if I am going to be spit on or have some idiot get in my face!

Just not true. Their worst fans aren't any worse than our worst ones. Both fanbases have idiots that embarrass the rest of the fanbase. We have fans that are every bit as bad as ANY other fanbase. It's not like we are rivals like Michigan and Penn St. I really doubt there will be many fights. I've been up there for work and NEVER had issues with having my Vol swag on. Probably be different if I had Michigan stuff.

Exactly. I've never seen a fanbase fight more with each other than our own. Hell, I'll purposely try to piss some of the idiots we have on here just to prove a point and get them riled up. It truly doesn't take much. Our fans have the thinnest skin of any fanbase I've ever been around. And by far the most hypothetical. I've seen ones bitch about stuff other fanbases do while doing the EXACT same thing. I used to come on here to get info since I live out of state now, but now you gotta dig through 20 pages of fighting and insults. Exactly why I intentionally try to piss some of the more annoying ones of ours, just because it's too easy

Had to explain that to a friend at dinner last night. He just looked at me with a dumbfounded look. Still didn't get it. He is a Floridiot State fan. Maybe that explains it.

I'm fine with the fans fighting. Just means that the Suckeyes football team will not be fighting which means they will roll over like they did for Michigan.

You said “close to half” which would indicate close to 50%. Nonsense. That’s a long way from the 20-30% that thread is “forecasting”. We travel well but this has all been overblown. I’m willing to bet 20-25% at most. This is all just a feel good story many have fed into.
