Film breakdown of JM's plays

Wtf. We are 5 and 1 we control our destiny..Joeis not the problem. Yes he has been average. But he hasn't got us beat. Game in game out. He has been inline.. think about all the drops for Tds. 2 just last week. Those recievers catch those. That is 13 for 22 and 3 tds and about 200. Combine with 238 rushing and that's almost 500 yards.. Joe is not the problem. Everybody in the world makes bad throws and decisions.. not 1 time has Joe has cost us a game. 5-1. Control our destiny.... what are you delusional people thinking

Think about the games he got like 220-230 yards and 280 in the UF game. If receivers didn’t drop balls or didn’t give has half effort on 50-50 balls he’d have multiple 300 yard games and quite a few more TD’s.

I’ve been really critical of Milton and still think he’s a mid to lower tier SEC qb but the entire passing game is off. Rewatching the Bama game from last year and it’s crazy to see the difference in separation we got from our receivers last year compared to this year.

Perfect example was the first play of the game where he missed a short pass to a wide open player.

The problem with JM's lack.of progression is that it handcuffs the Offense. Do you think Milton could have done what Hooker did in the last drive to.beat the Gumps? No way in ****. Not even close.
Doesn't have to. Bama's offense is not nearly as good as they were last year and the Vols D moved from worst 25 to top 25. All Joe has to do is take care of the ball and make a few timely plays. Jayden Daniels is the only QB I've seen this year that could do what Hooker did last year.

Some of it is still on Joe too. The int was a bad decision not a bad throw and not trying to get to the 1st down marker when he had a free play early in the game are mental mistakes. You can live with the bad throws because all qb’s have them but it’s the mental mistakes that hurt the most. Half way thru his 6th season I just don’t know if he’s going to get any better but we are stuck with him. It’s obvious they don’t want to play Nico so Gaston Moore is the only other option.

What year did Peyton throw those 4 int to Florida ? Freshman ? or senior ? I think folks had higher hopes for JM based on his time playing college ball and also based on some games he's played well but you never know which JM is gonna show up.
96,and we came close to coming back, but the 4 ints killed us, his junior yr

I think most of us agree Milton is not on the same level as Hooker, but Milton is not the sole reason the pass offense has underperformed. We don't have the same receiving corps as last year. Regarding the above comment on "difference in separation", do you think this could have anything to do with Joey Halzle's coaching vs Alex Golesh, the offensive talent, or a mix of the two?

We don't control our destiny. Florida does currently.

Gotta be a mixture of the two. I think some of it is due to Halzle not being as good of a play caller as Golesh but there clearly seems to be a lack of trust in Milton and the receivers as a whole when calling plays. Definitely didn’t expect this much of a drop off at receiver, losing Bru really hurt.

To all the people wanting Joe to run...I hate to say this but I know Bama already has seen it so...the way he carries the ball, he is just one hit away from a fumble. I cringe when he has the ball in one hand while running in traffic. I hope the coaches have already addressed this.

Meh. Hooker had his share of fumbles when he ran...
I'll take the risk and run Joe

I see the scenario in my head. We’re down 4 with 3 seconds to play on the Bama 10 yard line. Joe rolls right and throws it’s 10 rows deep out of the end zone to avoid a sack.

His junior year. All in the first half and we went into halftime with a 35-0 deficit. We came back to make it close but it was a horrible game.
