The question stands, if he's affected by message board comments in the days of modern social media commentary, which school could he go to where he'd be safe from reading mean words by randos on the internet?
Point is we have many idiots here. That spew bs like him making 8 mil a year and a bust ? Saw that personally. And you don't think Twitter and volnation can create issues ? There have already been a few instances

It seems the gameplan was to go with out normal 11 personal and vertical routes. WR's didn't get seperation, the Oline didn't block very well and Nico looked a bit shell shocked. Not sure why we didn't go with 12 personnel like we did against Oklahoma. Lots to learn from in this game. I assume every SEC team we play (and maybe others) will play a 3-3-5 or 3-2-6 against us going forward. Heupel needs to figure out how to adapt his system to play against this style defense.

And every other team in America has Twitter and their versions of Volnation and their own idiots.

Name the P4 school that has a fan base that doesn't rant on social media after a poor performance and loss by their team.

I watched his breakdown.
He pointed out several times the WR’s we’re open and we should of gotten 2-3 more touchdowns but The pass blocking and Nico didn’t get it done
Sure. Nico missed Squirrel for a TD. He also made a terrible decision at the end of the game. Maybe missed a couple of other throws. Point was there were several instances that would have made zero difference whether Nico was QB or Peyton Manning was QB given the playcall. Peyton obviously could've checked into a better play. Nico may not be there yet in that aspect like Hooker was capable of doing.

WRs weren’t getting separation on the vertical routes and Pass protection/ Blitz pickups were so bad that there was no time anyway.

This is why I’m not fond of modern spread offenses. Sometimes you’ve got to get under Center with an H-back, and go 4 yards and a cloud of dust until the defense stops playing flag football. We’re either going to have to start playing more 12 personnel or really turn Nico loose with more read option to keep defenses honest. Arkansas just did what UGA has been doing to us the last few years.
I don't think it's really a spread offense thing. If they're going to drop 8 and run cover 4 we needed to be running more 3x1 formations than 2x2 and attack underneath and in the middle of the field

So, considering the time it takes to develop a good OL player, are there any quick fixes available?
Because, people here are absolutely correct, this will get us MURDERED against Georgia

Hey, most of what were thrown during the Ole Miss game were water bottles. And that wasn’t fans behaving badly; it was us try to help hydrate the Ole Miss defenders who seemed to be cramping on every other play.
We were just being thoughtful

Effort. There's no excuse for 5 OL getting whipped by 3 DL. That and making sure everyone is on the same page for setting protections and blitz pick up.

True . . . What I really mean is that you don't have to be married to the Shotgun, spreading defenses out and a bunch of vertical choice routes to one side of the field no matter what. A lot of it is surely just a Freshman QB still seeing things for the first time and not getting into the right plays. The game is still going fast for Nico when the defense takes things away.

It was unbelievable how many whiffs and false starts there were. It's on the road at night, so stuff happens, but those guys should have handled that better.

Were mustard bottles or golf balls thrown at Nico?

If not, how exactly is that relevant to your original supposition?
Lol don't act dumb I usually have high regards for your posts. If some of these morons are capable of that kind of sh1t and some of the knee jerk bs put here it's all one and the same. Be critical but at the same time keep it classy. All I am saying. Have a good day.

So do we know the grading on the OL from Saturday night? Who did well and who wiffed the most?

if we lose to florida at home, it's going to get ugly I'm afraid
I don't think we do but I also didn't expect the Arkansas debacle. My concern is this is two games in a row where there is zero consistent threat with the passing game. Whether that's schematically or personnel, something has to change. Nor reason to go for the vertical pass every time. Drag routes, slants, and HB screens would have been available this past Saturday.

Maybe some of yall can watch and learn that Nico isn't the only guy on the field. WRs weren't getting open and our OL is soft as hell getting manhandled by a 3 man front

This. I haven't watched it yet, but if you pay attention to the whole field we haven't played well offensively anywhere the last two games.

And I'm also beginning to think that CJH has been intentionally basic/vanilla on offense with these first two road games not because Nico isn't capable and they don't trust him, but because they were the first two road games of a young QB's career, and there was a belief that they could rely on the strength of this defense, not make mistakes, and squeeze through these first two tests until we basically have a month straight at home. It worked against Oklahoma. It didn't work against Ark, because the offense made way too many mistakes with penalties. OL got beat a lot. WR's not getting open. Nico missing reads. It was a team loss. Not a Nico loss. It almost worked. When we went up 14-3, I thought we would hold on.

Now that we are back home, I expect the offense to open back up more. At least that's my expectation and hope.

Vanderbilt... lol

I personally don't think Nico is the problem, it is how we are coaching around him but I will state that Taylen Green looked like a far better QB than Nico Saturday night.

Perhaps instead of investing in unproven High School QBs, we should be trying the Vandy strategy and going and finding a solid G5 level QB and paying them to transfer over.

Sheesh…Vandy would trade QBs with us immediately if we offered.

Give the kid a chance.

So ridiculous.
