Sophmore. He dressed out every game last year. That redshirt just means he gets a 5th year if he doesn’t move on before then. I sincerely hope he doesn’t have to repeat any courses this year.

I personally don't think Nico is the problem, it is how we are coaching around him but I will state that Taylen Green looked like a far better QB than Nico Saturday night.

Perhaps instead of investing in unproven High School QBs, we should be trying the Vandy strategy and going and finding a solid G5 level QB and paying them to transfer over.

TEs slso need to block better and catch passes when they are targeted. They really had a rough day against Arkansas.

You’re giving yourself and all of us way to much credit if you seriously think for one second some 19 year old making millions gives a **** what a message board says. As a fan base we aren’t unique. We’re nothing more than a bunch of middle aged-old men whining and crying about some 18 year olds playing football. There’s really not much more to it than that.

I can almost understand when they walked several safeties up to confuse the Oline. There were times when they just sent three defenders and got pressure. One of the worst Oline performances I’ve seen in a while in pass protection here. I expect Florida to run the same defense and give a lot of looks like this to confuse the line.

I know it’s almost impossible to play call around a terrible Oline but we had some things we could’ve done to slow the pass rush. We had ways to punish them but didn’t even try.

How many times did we run up the middle on third and long? I questioned how much coach trusts Nico. I don't remember many long runs to make me think that running on third and long might be the best play call. This game is definitely on the coaches.

This. I begged to run 12 personnel in the 2nd half. 2TEs, hat on a hat, run the dang ball like we did at Oklahoma. Especially when they were in Dime defense all game...and moreso when Bru and Squirrel were hurt. Its a no brainer.

We will see 12 personnel vs Flarduh this week I bet. Time for the Oline to bust some heads, and those 3 TEs to earn their keep.

Yall think we lose that game in 12 personnel? Our defense only gave up 12 points before we let them score the last TD after being on the field all game long. You think we could score 14 or more points in 12 personnel vs Ark to win? We scored 25 on a better Oklahoma defense right?

Yes. Rocky Top Insider always publishes the PFF grades for each game. Both tackles were in the 40s which is horrendous. They are both hurt though tbh. Spraggins and Cooper werent good either. Karic graded out decent in the 70s, best we had. Fwiw Bishop gave up 2 sacks, 1 by TE and 1 by Sampson as well. Everybody sucked blocking except Karic. Even he had that crap call for being downfield. Everybody had a bad game on offense sadly

That may be true but not to the level our fans go on social media. And if you believe otherwise you are as dumb as the rest here that just want to constantly spew negative bullsh1t..... we lost a game and looked bad doing it. Do you really believe we didn't want to win ? Do you really believe Nico was ready last year when everyone that acted sensible told you people Joe gave us the best chance ? If so may be a good reason why we are having this debate. He is young, we have a lot of young guys in some position who can potentially cost us a game. QB, T, LB S it is not to make excuses it is the reality of experience in this league. It is not the end of the world and oh check out the threads here today about Hot Seats etc you don't have to look hard to find what I am talking about.

I realize there are only just so many running play carries to go around, and that Sampson is our main guy ... but I am so badly wanting to see a bit more of Seldon, Peyton Lewis, and Khalifa Keith in there. 🤷

That was a soft (if by the letter correct) roughing call. Just like the hands to the face call that Nico got a few possessions earlier.

And throw the ball in the middle of the field for crying out loud. There’s no rule that says you have to throw everything outside the numbers
