I assume Mackey's mentor was Davis, I couldn't find that anywhere but there were references to Mackey being at Boston College before he went to Cleveland State (1983) and Davis was at BC until 1982. Am I right in what I assume you mean? If not fell free to correct me.

Hound, I am most certainly not saying Pearl has done anything illegal. I'm simply saying he has issues that the Pearlophiles don't want to address. You are correct about where Kevin Mackey broke in. So did several other coaches who spend way too much time in places they shouldn't.

I'll settle this one with a quick search.

JaJuan attempted an off-the-backboard play against both Alabama and South Carolina. He tried to throw it off the glass for Tyler during the first half of the win at Bama in 2008. Further down in the article, the 2007 South Carolina home win is discussed in which JaJuan tried to throw it off the glass to himself. No matter how you slice it, those were two really stupid plays by an otherwise major contributor to the program.

I am confused are you saying he is an alcoholic or that he has lots of sex with random women? Either way you should probably start calling it "pulling a pitino" because it would be more clear.

Why is Pearl not supposed to be going there but you are there enough to talk to the staff about what he is up to?

I think men past 30 should have nice homes where they can host parties and that only losers hang out in bars past that age. Kind of like seeing a 50 something at a concert of a band you are friends with. You know he is just there to look at younger women and you feel pity/disgust.

I get the same feeling. The thing that concerns me most is the fact that we still never won the SEC tournament despite the entire conference being down the last 2 years. I have a feeling UK is going to destroy us this year...

I guess the kind of idiot that hangs out with partiers who ruin the places where they are invited.

I am not talking about old school, more dinner party or backyard bbq at the mansion. Does not have to be Gatsby ballroom dancing or croquet but it should have no kegstands or vomiters.

This could be said about any number of successful coaches. Pitino, Calipari, Pearl, etc. Pick any coach, and there is a good chance there is something immoral about their personal lifestyle.

Someone made reference to Pearl hanging out at Roosters, Ray's, etc. While I think he should probablyrefrain from such places as a frequent guest, it it ultimately his decision to go. The consequences are his.

Would you rather have him there drinkin it up, or wait till its closed and impregnate a psycho? Perhaps he could stop drinking to save $$$ to pay for an abortion? Or perhaps instead of being there, he can go pay some players or take their SAT for them. Maybe he can go gamble on his own games.

Nope. Pearl is a great recruiter to me and a great coach. Posing with girls your sons age on a boat, fake tanning etc does not make him my boy. He is a grown man who makes some personal decisions that I think are unwise to be charitable. Embarrassing to me? Yep. Not Pitino level, not Buzz Peterson with a crack dealer as an assistant, not Mike Price passed out at a strip club, but bad choices. Leaving your bitter ex wife in town to run a hair salon referencing your divorce is also kind of sad times...

So you are sticking with your assertion that Bruce Pearl is a loser? You shouldn't say that about Bruce... he is the greatest coach that UT basketball could ever possibly see. I mean would you rather have Peterson or Houston? Think about all Bruce Pearl has done for UT basketball... a few years ago McDonalds All Americans wouldn't even give Tennessee a second thought. I mean a few years before that they would, but you people that want Pearl gone and Peterson back still make me sick. For real, leave CBP alone, I can't believe how low you would sink in calling him a loser. Makes me wonder if you are even a real Vol fan.

Kind of awesome that I talked to one of the biggest "experts" hat leans on for inside info and he said Harris would end up at one of 3 schools and UConn got cut.

Would still love some inside information I keep hearing about to be posted.
