What is the prediction on the number if Finebaum threads this season?

OP - I was on the treadmill and nothing else was on and unfortunately I watched this show. I cringed when he announced he was doing rocky top rants and knew what was coming. I turned the channel before he go to it.

He calls this behavior by Vol fans "irrational exuberance". I started a thread on this yesterday. Paul has a vendetta towards UT. He's nothing more then an entertainer, and he uses his show and skewed sample sizes to make generalizations about a fan base that contains a few million people. Problem is, when the entire US watches the show who's to know that UT fans arent just crazy and ignorant if you aren't from the south? What's a person from Maine or New Jersey know about UT football other then what they see and hear on TV? He sets the stage and "we" supply the entertainment.

True Vol fans should boycott that bastard. One UT grad who should be downsized, laid off, terminated, etc.

I'm just wondering why they chose this fool and his format for a 4 hour daily display of southern rednecks? Granted I'm sure it is cheap to produce and he already had a following in Alabama, but for the life of me the only way I can stand his show is with the mute button pressed.

Because he's an absolute genius, which is what makes you so mad. He doesn't provide an illusion that the entire SEC is rednecks, just specific teams and people. When you throw statistics out without any significant levels or parameters and your audience takes those stats as the "word" then you have a hooked audience. You provide the necessary info about the big time teams in the SEC, and also throw in the humor of making fun of UT fans or callers with an IQ less then 70. This is a recipe for success in this world. Everyone, including sexy woman, love a guy that's cocky and confident but has a little bit of humor and charm. Paul brings all those aspects to his show. I don't like him, but I don't blame him making money off us when dumb@@@@@ call in and make fools of themselves and all of us.

I guess I'm in the minority, but I like it. We've always had that "crazy" label put on us. And I for one am proud of it. Nothing wrong with the nation knowing what the south already knows. UT has the largest, most rabid fan base in the south.

Ask Eagles, Celtics, or Cubs fans if they're proud of the crazy label. They'll tell you yes 100% of the time.

Wear it like a badge of honor.

I didn't watch today,, (glad I didn't from the posts),, but what I have watched,, I cringe when a Tenn Fan calls in not knowing what is going to be said. I don't know what was said today,, but I guarantee that we are still way behind Bama and the Barn fans. These calls are what keeps his show going.. I still don't think he will be on the SEC channel after this year.. and actually dissappointed with the SEC network from what I've watched . It is GREAT that we get to see our VOLS everyweek..but there are more 'repeats' than Sports Center.

Perhaps it is his stunning good looks LMFAO

Or maybe he appeals to a large cross section of a culturally diverse, educated people.

Seriously, I have never given the guy any appreciable amount of time and won't do so now just because his Hugo Weaving looking a--is on SEC Network.

I'd recommend to anyone else to do the same.

Well, like it or not, it is who we are. There is no Vol bandwagon. We are all in this together at this point. We have been embarrassed so much the last few years that no fan's "irrational exuberance" is gonna embarrass me. Make no mistake about either, all we have at this point are true fans.

I kind of agree with you. I think we could win 8 but I also believe we could go 5-7. I think we have a very good shot at beating mizzou, ole miss, florida and south Carolina.

We actually have a lot of fans in Boston. But the ones I know have more sense than to take Finebaum's bait.

It's amazing that you allow a radio show host to have an effect on your day to day mood.

Edit: The second we start winning consistently, it's going to be "hey did you hear those great things finebaum said about us today?" From the same people who ***** about him now.

I wouldn't be surprised if it were Alabama fans calling in pretending to be UT Fans. This sounds like something they would do...
