Finebaum just got us good

I don't see how anyone can watch Finebaum. He is the ugliest man I have ever seen on television. It's like a real live Mr. Burns. Never mind what he has to say.

Guys at work had it on F***baum today, and some Vol fans were calling in predicting us winning 10 games this year. It gets embarrassing. I like to believe, we have more class as a fan base than most fan bases in the SEC.......but calling into the Finebaum show, because we beat USU and are showing improvement, is craziness.

Yeah why standards so low?? 15-0 I say.

I Kid I Kid! we definitely need to pump he brakes. Even if e play better than we all thought we would. That doesn't all the sudden, make us ready to make flight plans for the playoff destinations!

John Clayton looks like a burn victim or some version of Freddy Kruger. So if him and Finebaum would brawl. It most cetainly would get UGLY!!!

He seems to have some type of grudge against UT, even though he is an alumnus. Can anyone enlighten me on this matter? Did he just get beat up and no play while he was here? lol

He calls this behavior by Vol fans "irrational exuberance". I started a thread on this yesterday. Paul has a vendetta towards UT. He's nothing more then an entertainer, and he uses his show and skewed sample sizes to make generalizations about a fan base that contains a few million people. Problem is, when the entire US watches the show who's to know that UT fans arent just crazy and ignorant if you aren't from the south? What's a person from Maine or New Jersey know about UT football other then what they see and hear on TV? He sets the stage and "we" supply the entertainment.
I have no idea what the early ratings are on Finebaum, but I really doubt a lot of people from Maine or jersey or Vermont are really checking this network out. Having said that, I agree that Volnation needs to temper our hijinks on his little show. If we beat Oklahoma or UGA or the Gators, then by all means, rants away. But, until we do, and we will soon, it just makes us look a little silly as a group of fans.

Mostly only idiots call in to Finebaum anyway. I get a laugh everytime I listen to him and his regular Bama and Barn fans being fools. :loco:

Some of you really need to think about it. We are only 1 more injury on the OL from being a 5-7 or 4-8 team. Don't be overly optimistic!! Our OL is close to pathetic, that is why we only averaged 2.8 ypc! If we get an injury against Oklahoma ( which is entirely possible) on the OL, we are devastated. Go ahead- I got my shield up against your forthcoming bullets!!

I hate you!

This is a serious question...
How does Finebaum have his own show? And a successful show at that?

I'm not saying this because hes a "closet Alabama/Auburn fan" or because he "secretly hates Tennessee". I just honestly don't get why his show is popular. What little I've heard of the show was unbelievably boring. I've never found it the least bit interesting, his voice puts me to sleep. I don't get it.

People take this too serious. Those people making asses with Finebaum are having fun and deep down we all love laughing about it.

I love the bs discussions on the radio after the game sometimes better than the games. Especially the last few years. Hell we make each other laugh on VN cause that was all their was left after some games.

Bad commentary is the best cause you can get mad at that jack leg instead of wondering why you dropped several hundred watching the vols take another beatdown. Tell me you hadn't been there before.

His radio show gained so much popularity because the focus was the people. It wasn't a long list of people telling the listeners what would happen. It was interactive. People got to be the focus and get their 15 seconds of fame.

first problem here is actually listening/watching Finebaum Show. That guy is clueless. Just listen to his awful predictions and watch how wrong they end up being majority of the time. That show is brutal.

He wouldn't be the face of the SEC Network if he wasn't good at what he does.

I was very excited about Sundays win like everyone else. But I still think its going to be a long tough season for our young Vols. Im not a negavol by any means. Were just very young and razor thin with no depth on the Oline & Dline. And we play in a conference where you have to play very good in the trenches every Saturday. I still got us at 6-6. Hopefully ill be eating crow by the end of the season! GO VOLS!
