Sincerity doesn't remove the silliness from it. You would have been a perfect Russian in the '70s. Don't question the program, the leaders are infallable. Quick question: Name the last major football power to allow a coach to go 7 years without winning a conference championship.

I love how you take the last two words and run with them.

what is a perfect russian in the 70's?

Someone who sticks to the party line, regardless of facts that indicate that leadership leaves a great deal to be desired.

Every last two words i use.
I'll take it that you have no answer to the question related to football powers allowing coaches to flounder around without delivering a conference championship.

How many UT games have you attended?
As I had to state to one of the mental giants who attacked my loyalty to UT earlier, I've probably missed about 10 games in the last 20 years. Factoring in the games I attended before '85, I'd say that puts me at about 300.

Check the win pct.? Honestly do you think he is floundering around? You need to get a clue.

My guess is Barry switzer. But does it really matter.

Winning percentage, the last refuge of the Fulmerite. Exactly what has that vaunted winning percentage brought? 2 SEC titles, 1 National Title, and a bunch of meaningless Citrus Bowl trips. I thought you played the games to win championships. The Pro-Fulmer crowd obviously thinks differently.

Switzer most certainly never went 7 years without a conference title. I think it matters because it shows the other schools that consider themselves national powers have higher standards than UT. They don't accept going to second level bowls for the better part of a decade.

Like i said before you sound like a fan of another team. It is a shame that people like you have not a sniff of true loyalty.

There's a huge difference between being loyal and being a lapdog. I'll pose one of your questions back to you. How many games do you attend? How many times have you taken the red eye from LA or Las Vegas in order to get to Knoxville in time for a noon kickoff? When you invest the time and money I do into the program, I'll give a flip what you think about my loyalty.

you must be so much better than me. All your money and time that you spend must mean so much more than mine.

i asked the question first so you answer.

Didn't say I was any better. Just pointing out how ridiculous people sound when they attack my loyalty in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

See post #32 in this thread. I've already answered your question.

Sorry I must have missed that.

Since you have been to so many games then you should know better.

I should know better than to demand better than a bunch of Peach Bowl appearances and losing to Vanderbilt? That's laughable.

News flash: Fulmer and the program are not the same thing. First, stating facts is not an attack. If Fulmer wants to stop people from being critical of his results, he should produce records more in line with his salary.

First of all you are jealous of his salary or you would not bring it up.

Second, attacking our head coach is the same as attacking our program. It is like criticizing the military but saying that you love the united states.

And by the way you don't have to alert me to your comments i am not an idiot so try and stop your bull news flashes.

I really have no reason to be jealous of Fulmer's salary. It's not that much more than mine. My issue is I would like to see a fair return on my investment/donation. Paying a guy 2 mil + to go to third rate bowls isn't exactly sound management of fiscal resources. So, to draw an analogy, if someone criticizes the President, they are attacking America? I guess you're not much of a fan of the First Amendment.

Was that another news flash? Be sure and specify so i can be aware.

Oh, you make a lot of money, be sure and point that out as well.

I am a UT football fan, as well as a fan of athletics not a fan of people that bitch about things all the time and use the first amendment as an excuse for their own shortcomings.

You're the one who claimed I was somehow jealous of the current head football coach's salary. I simply pointed out why that assertion would be erroneous. I didn't realize that speaking one's mind and demanding production from an entity you invest in was a shortcoming. I suppose you would say everyone should sit around the campfire singing Rocky Top and talking about how great the '98 season was.
