No, it started 2 or 3 games before the end of the season, and then was used to win the SEC tournament, and then took them to the Elite Eight, where they lost to Baylor, just like everyone else did. They were probably the 5th best team in the tournament last year, with only one true point guard (plus Bass), and no true center. That point guard was a true freshman. Facts matter, please know them before you post.

Also The Coach everyone talks about is not named Summit, never heard of a coach Summit. Have some respect and know her name is SUMMITT with 2 T's, otherwise your post just seems uninformed.

Holly, being thrown into the fire, a month before the season started, at the most high profile women's program in any sport, made some mistakes, but did a pretty good job, in a near impossible to succeed role. I think she will do very well and be in the final four by her third year.

As far as hiring Caldwell, well Nicki is a fine coach, but she did nothing against "the Holly coached" team in the SEC tournament finals last year, has a new born baby, her first, is planning a wedding, and got her tail handed to her 15 different ways to Sunday by Holly in recruiting this year, and we still have a very good shot at the number 9 player in the class. LSU, not recruiting so well. Logic doesn't back up any facts to support it would have been a better hire. If we are going to put the blame on Holly for last years short comings, then she deserves the credit. 1 game back in second in regular season, won the sec tournament, number 2 seed, made final 8 and lost to the undefeated winner of the tournament. Nicki, I love, but she has never done any of those things in the years she has been a head coach. Sorry.

I agree with what you said for the most part except comparing Holly and Nikki in the tourney last year and in recruiting. Nikki did a lot with a team that had a lot less talent than the Lady Vols. Lets be honest about recruiting, it's still a lot easier to recruit to UT than to LSU. The Lady Vols have the tradition. I consider Holly and Nikiki as 1a and 1b. I think Nikki would kill it in recruiting at UT. With all that being said, I don't think last years regular season is a good tool to judge Holly as a coach. It was like balancing act for her as she was just trying to guide the team while not stepping on Pat's toes. That is the way it looked to me during the season but something happened between the regular season and the SEC tourney. Holly took charge and coached her tail off. That tourney changed my mind on Holly. I have every belief that she can get the job done. I was at the UTC and the GT games and I liked what I saw on the sidelines. This team is young and will take a few lumps but I am here to tell everbody that the future is bright for this team. When Griner is gone, I believe we will be right there knocking on the door. Go Lady Vols!

3. Spend the $ and hire a REAL WINNING COACH for a big-time program.

We can't change coaches everytime we lose a game. Hopefully we can win twenty this season the team doesn't have a great post player other than Graves.

Someone needs to start a FireHollyWarlick website. I would be very happy if UT could find a better head coach for the program.

Yes, bring Caldwell in as head coach. She has been a world beater at LSU. Those teams of her's have won more games each year she has been coach at LSU.

Caldwell is also pretty, and she's a strong independent woman who knows how to fashionably dress herself.

I am for giving Butch a pat on the back raise like he is getting. When Holly overachieves with the talent she has, I will be for her to get a raise. Unfortunately, I've only seen underachieve for Holly. Can we take part of her salary and give to some of our football coaches? You know, make it kinda of a kick in the pants pay cut. Get your stuff and act together.
