First Battle won, larger war ahead. Will we finally see justice for treason?

Smithfield is owned by the Chinese...

and if my timelines are correct they were owned by the Chinese before the particulars of what RFK is talking about.

at least as of 2023, China was the 18th largest foreign land owner in the US.

Are you?
No sir. I'm not worried.

I don't know if Louder replied yet. I'll ask you same as him, do any of those others give you concern like China does?

None of the others on this list are of a concern to me.

I just noticed that eight of the countries on the list are NATO members.

Do you remember the concern some Americans had about Japanese buying up property (maybe iconic landmark-type buildings) in the 1980s?

Vaguely. They had purchased some buildings in NY and CA, but had to sell or gave up ownership for some reason. I'd have to look it up.

I was in high school at the end of 80's so I didn't focus on the concern others had with foreign land ownership at the time.

Yeah...that's the gist.

Japan is on the list still.

I think that will be same with China down the road.

Smithfield used to be a customer of mine and they made the patties for McDonalds..just a massive beltline of patties..I have always been amazed at mass production..just thinking all the people eating a sausage patty at any one time.

When or if their economy comes crashing down, with the hopes they'll have to dispose of the property for far less than they acquired it? Maybe.

Have to see how things shake out here after inauguration day and into next year.

It seems to me a lot of the concern is based on an assumption that a Chinese business is a front for the Chinese government and that business intends to harm us because of that representation. I don't know if either of those has been proven conclusively. I would hate to see our freedoms Limited for an unfounded fear.. if it is indeed unfounded.

Yes, the article on Hugh Glass turned out to be a bicentennial tribute to his harrowing ordeal. Interestingly, Jedediah Smith was also badly mauled by a grizzly in Wyoming within about six weeks of Glass's near fatal encounter. For anyone else who may be interested in that piece, the link is The Odyssey of Hugh Glass: A Bicentennial Tribute.

Given its focus, this particular article may or may not be of interest or relevance to you, but here is the link to an article on sites that indigenous peoples regard as sacred in Big Sky Country: Grandeur of this Land - Big Sky Journal.

I will have an article published in the Winter 2024-2025 issue of Distinctly Montana entitled "Extreme Weather Events that contribute to Montana’s Reputation for Legendary Winter Weather.”
Yes was very interesting how the Crow viewed some of those lands.

didn't see the full list. the top two were Canada, and Holland/Netherlands.

the Canadians bother me just by their existence, but otherwise no. I don't know of similar actions to the Chinese by any other nation.
