8 months until NSD, if it's September-October & were still ranked in the 40's then I'll start worrying.

Absolutely. Where were we last year under the recruiting gurus at this time, I wonder?

ESPN wise, we were not in the top 10 in the first week of August, which was their first ranking. In the second installment in September we were 5th.

So I assume that the doubters will give Dooley til August to be in the Top 20, especially considering the hell the football program has been through the past 2 years.

It is hard to expect a first year coach to have alot of commitments before he has ever coached a game. We have plenty of time! I am not worried the least bit.

I hit the snooze button on this one. It's like saying we aren't ranked yet for the 2012 preseason polls.

Stanford has a ton of commits at the moment, that's the only reason they are so high right now. Vaughters(sp?) really helped too

harbaugh always gets a bunch of commits early and then weeds out the ones he actually doesn't want later by getting their admissions department to reject them.

also bet they lose Carlisle to Cal and Wright to ND by the end of the month.

What does that have to with ranking each school's committed class?

Everything. You only have to have been following recruiting for a single year to realize that 25% (or more) of these super early verbals will decommit and sign elsewhere.

You know what a 17 year old athlete's word is worth the summer before their senior year? Exactly what you think it would be worth...very little.
