First the devil's lettuce and now this...

As long as you are not sexualizing or grooming kids, there is not much of an issue.
Can you tell me what "grooming" a child means in this context? I've been gay my whole life, so I've always wondered what y'all fear we're going to do. Cast a gay spell or something?

And the other nonsense about parades ... I can tell that a major theme for you will be trying to get me to answer for the behavior of every gay man. I've been to plenty of Pride events (guessing a few more than you, in any case) and I can count on two fingers the times I've seen inappropriate clothing/behavior. I don't behave that way in public and neither do the majority of my flaming homosexual compadres. I've seen plenty of straight couples doing risque things in public, though, so maybe I'm desensitized?

Also, the gay struggle is nowhere near the same as the black struggle. Gotta put that out there, also. Why do some of you all try to ride the coattails of the black civil rights movement?
Well no sh*t, Sherlock. I'm a white gay dude who loves cars, plays sports, and can pretty easily pass for straight. I learned a long time ago that my journey is a universe apart from what black people in this country experience. If I met a gay person who claimed otherwise (and to be clear, I haven't) I'd tell them as much.

And also, why do the stereotypical gay men usually mimic either hoodrat black women or ditsy blonde white women?
To piss you off, most likely. Mission accomplished?

That's all well and good, and I am really happy for you that your taste buds are so refined that you don't have to stoop to the swill of a common man. I prefer stouts and porters myself in certain situations, however, if you are gonna drink beer all day like at a tailgate, diet Coors/Miller light/Bud Light all have their place. None of the above 3 are my personal choice either, but if it's cold at a tailgate party, throw me a silver bullet, I'll choke it down.
I'd do Miller Lite if its an all day event. Swilling down a bunch of Porters during a tailgate on a hot day doesn't sound appealing.

That being said, I am glad my palate has matured beyond the laypersons.

Introducing children to sexual activities and discussions that are well beyond their understanding or maturity level. Let's not act coy. Let's have a real conversation and not try to gaslight. Most reasonable, sane parents don't want their children to be indoctrinated or have them introduced to complex sexual subject matter whether it is of the homosexual nature or heterosexual nature. Disease, pregnancies and the emotions that go along with teens as they are going through puberty and young adulthood is complicated. I'm not saying there isn't a time and place to have those discussions, but it shouldn't be you or some random person or some school administrator or whoever having that discussion. That should be left to the parents.

And the other nonsense about parades ... I can tell that a major theme for you will be trying to get me to answer for the behavior of every gay man.
I don't expect you to answer for every gay man anymore than I would expect to have to answer for every black man. I was speaking in general. I didn't single you out personally. Relax.

So you admit it does happen, right? Again, I'm not saying "all". I'm speaking in general. Let me ask you a question... put a percentage on the number of pride parades that actually do go over the line in your opinion: 5%? 20%? 50%? 80%? Let's see if you can avoid gaslighting and give a real, honest answer.

Again, you are taking it person. I'm speaking in general. But don't act like you have not seen the gay political movement not ride on the coattails of the achievements made by black people during the civil rights era and then used that to take advantage of opportunities or get some kind of favorable treatment/protection.

To piss you off, most likely. Mission accomplished?
Are you going to answer seriously or are you going to get hysterical? I simply asked a general question. Again, not "all". I'm simply asking why are those usually the type of women that some/most gay men mimic?

That was my point.

I've also never got a hangover from diet Coors. I too love porters and stouts but they are filling.

Fun Fact: Guinness has less calories than Michelob Ultra.

Q: Why is lite beer like making love in a Canoe?

A: F"ing close to water! lol

This feels like an argument you're having with ... nobody. If you think gay people are fighting for the right to sexualize children, that has more to do with your ignorance than anything else.

I had age-appropriate sex ed when I was in sixth grade, and thank goodness I did, because my own parents never attempted to talk to me about sex.

I don't expect you to answer for every gay man anymore than I would expect to have to answer for every black man. I was speaking in general. I didn't single you out personally. Relax.
I get the sense you like to tell women they're "too emotional" as well. I see you.

It's 7.6%. Give or take.

Now, the church camp I went to when I was 12 and saw two different teenage dudes getting handjobs—where do I file my grievance against the straight community for indoctrinating me?

Why are you speaking in generalities here? Surely there's a situation you can recall. Give me an example that wasn't fabricated in your head.

As an aside, man, you need to look at your writing a little closer before you post: "But don't act like you have not seen the gay political movement not ride on the coattails ..."

Sorry brotatochip, we send out directives in the daily newsletter, but I can't talk inside baseball with you.

I doubt that the Right would have ever cared about disrupting BL had the idiots on the Left never started their garbage with Maxine calling for getting in their faces when “they” are out in public and incidents like Sarah Huckabee being harassed while having dinner in a restaurant. People used to be civil with those that they differed with politically. Maxine and her ilk promoted disrupting individuals and businesses. The toxic environment surrounding those with differing opinions really ramped up with clowns like Maxine Waters. And Hillary labeling half the country as the Deplorables was the same sort of **** stirring. I don’t remember anybody giving a dam when Queer Eye for the Straight Guy took off 20 years ago. The Right didn’t call for a boycott of the Tonight Show when Jay Leno invited the QE cast to do a set makeover for him.

Nope, you asked me what it meant to be "grooming" children and I stated what it was. Are you calling yourself a nobody? You are the one that asked the question.

I get the sense you like to tell women they're "too emotional" as well. I see you.
You are getting emotional. I didn't single you out in my original post. I made general statements. I never said "all".

It's 7.6%. Give or take.
Now you are b*lls#!ting. Again, you are not capable of being serious.

Now, the church camp I went to when I was 12 and saw two different teenage dudes getting handjobs—where do I file my grievance against the straight community for indoctrinating me?
If that is the case, have you spoken with a mental health professional about this traumatic experience? I bet if you got some help, it might change things...

Why are you speaking in generalities here? Surely there's a situation you can recall. Give me an example that wasn't fabricated in your head.
I have to speak in general in order to avoid putting all situations in the same basket. If I speak in generalities, it opens the door for exceptions and opens the door for someone to convince me by having civil discourse and the introduction of facts. But in order for that conversation to occur, there are just a few simple things that we have to be honest about. Neither side can gaslight each other or Texas sharpshooting.

Now, to your request about examples.
1. The term "gay is the new black"... I know you have heard people in your community say this
2. The idea of turning a sexual preference or sexual fetish into political movement that steals resources from other groups that may be far more deserving. I'm not just talking about "blacks", BTW. I'm talking about in particular parental rights and school curricula. The idea that what you choose to do in your bedroom needs to be politicized rubs people the wrong way. I'll be the first to tell you, however, that I am against any law that tries to restrict what you choose to do in your bedroom or hotel room or whatever.
3. This next one falls mostly on the shoulders of leftist black intellectuals, but the idea of intersectionality has really been a gateway for the gay community (and other groups) to try and take advantage of the struggles made by blacks in the civil rights movement.

Sorry brotatochip, we send out directives in the daily newsletter, but I can't talk inside baseball with you.
I have no idea what you are talking about here, but OK.

If you think gay people are fighting for the right to sexualize children, that has more to do with your ignorance than anything else.
Getting back to this... I saw a meme a few days ago that asked why do gay people fight so hard to read books to children in schools but not to old folks in the nursing homes... Just saying.
