I think his point is that we sign very few 5 * recruits. we just aren't there yet, may never be.

we will never sign the 5 *'s until we get better recruiters. How long is our retort gonna be "We got the best player in the country last yr."

our best strategy for now is to develop players better than Ga. and Bama. Don't know if that will ever happen on a consistent basis, maybe here and there .
Never is a long time ...

... and Mike Matthews will more than likely commit to Tennessee some time in the next 3 weeks. This place is still way too reactionary - and "in the moment."

Did you forget that we got Max Anderson last week? And getting Satterwhite tomorrow? And leading for Ross and Okoye? And Franklin?
Serious question, are you 15 years old? That would make sense
Yea we are leading for those guys I’ve seen that story before many times. let’s see if this staff can actually close and get them.

Y'all realize no one "misses" on more top 150 players than Bama, georgia, and Ohio state. Because they're in 90% of the top 3 and top 5. The fact we're in the top group for this many blue chippers tells you where our recruiting is. Y'all have no idea how to act getting more than 3 or 4 top 150s a year

But when people complain when we don’t beat Georgia in 2023 and 2024 well this is why we don’t get nearly enough 4 and 5 Star guys to overtake them it all goes back to recruiting it always has. Georgia’s 2024 recruiting class so far is absolutely ridiculously good. Ours is pretty good so far but not good enough. We gotta get a top 5 class for about three years straight to get to that elite level to win the SEC and beat Georgia.

Have you seen what this staff did with a gutted roster from a team that went 3-7? What they did last year was with other programs castoffs! I would say they develop players just fine. Jesus, some people expect miracles. Our program was literally on deaths door 2 years ago, What this staff has done in such a short amount of time is borderline voodoo. Hooker, Hyatt, Tillman, Velus, Byron Young, etc. Were not even on the NFL's radar before Huepel.

They kept hollering for years that they wanted better coaching but now they’ve switched to better recruiting.

Heupel probably won’t ever get the credit he deserves from a few bad apples.

The reasonable ones know he’s done a fantastic job with what he’s had to work with.

Bought* if he truly wanted to be here based solely on the program and university he would’ve sacrificed some of that 8M to secure the top OL in the country. Also it doesn’t matter how good he is if we can’t keep him upright
I guess some people can't be happy? We get the best player in the country last year but you want to find a way to complain about it? Come on, we miss on Nico, its the garbage "can't close narrative", we land Nico, and it's "only because we bought him" from our own fanbase. Nobody knows what Nico is making at UT.

So you are going to brush over the fact that we’ve got/are getting elite OL, so that your narrative works? Please please see yourself out

Not just better recruiting. Need to recruit better than the back to back Champs with the second best recruiter alive as the coach

We are on tap for 4 **** stars in July.
I dont think its all Spyre and NIL related. While I do think the staff wishes, and possibly shoulda coulda with these 50/50 guys. They have identified a ton of talent, and gotten us farther in this year. I notice waay more 250 talent then in years past.

That said, at some point of of averages you think we land some of them. If its negative stuff, not putting enough pressure on kids on officials, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ i dont subsribe that this staff doesnt know how to recruit all of a sudden.

1. It's forking July. Y'all need to chill tf out.
2. 6 months ago yall were all raving about how this staff has stocked the cupboard with edge rushers and really put effort into recruiting the line of scrimmage. But were critics of the defensive backfield and were demanding they focus their efforts there (which they have, mind you) and now we miss on a single recruit we made a late run at in July and the sky is falling. Get a new hobby ya losers.

Led with Nwaneri. Miss.
Supposed to land Rushing. Miss.
Led with Mauigoa. Miss.
Can’t close our top OL targets.

Heupel is a nice guy, and we all know what the saying is about where nice guys finish. This staff is too soft when it comes to pushing for commitments. You need big uglies to win in the SEC. Maybe Heupel likes flashy offense too much to understand that. If things don’t change, we’ll be chasing the mighty Dawgs until the end of days. Even Beamer is crootin better than us.

…am I doing this right?

*This has been a Nited post.
I read this^^^

Oh...and the "Nited Post" thing was stupid Day 1...even MORE so Day 503...which is about your tenure...

That dude is starting threads in the FF talking about “who’s the biggest bust as a recruit”. Miserable

2 things: One, you've already mailed in games two years out? Loser mentality. Two, you don't think the staff knows they need better talent to make competing with Georgia a less difficult outing? Do you think you're the only one who has recognized this profound thought?
