Can’t close our top OL targets.

Heupel is a nice guy, and we all know what the saying is about where nice guys finish. This staff is too soft when it comes to pushing for commitments. You need big uglies to win in the SEC. Maybe Heupel likes flashy offense too much to understand that. If things don’t change, we’ll be chasing the mighty Dawgs until the end of days. Even Beamer is crootin better than us.

1. It's forking July. Y'all need to chill tf out.
2. 6 months ago yall were all raving about how this staff has stocked the cupboard with edge rushers and really put effort into recruiting the line of scrimmage. But were critics of the defensive backfield and were demanding they focus their efforts there (which they have, mind you) and now we miss on a single recruit we made a late run at in July and the sky is falling. Get a new hobby ya losers.

I'm not sure he's 12, maybe 9 or 10. Needs to go outside during recess and stay out of the computer lab.

No, we are not recruiting at the level of georgia and bama. However, we are getting a lot of 4 stars and hopefully a five star or two. We do seem to miss out on the blue chip lineman, especially on defense. There is a long way to go in the recruiting cycle, so hopefully we will finish strong. Our staff needs to excel at development (as they seem to be doing) and continue winning at a high level. If they do, the recruiting should gradually improve. It's not a quick fix from where we were just three or four years ago.

Focus on avg recruit ranking rather then the class itself. We’re sitting at 90.69 per 247 with 10 4 stars already. Rodney Gardner always gets atleast one 5 star per haul and Mike Matthews sounds like he’s a lock.

Considering previous staffs, with far fewer wins and no NIL money, pulled multiple five-star O-linemen that are now in the NFL and this staff can’t pull one, that’s not defensible. They have done a lot of good things; they’re not recruiting at the level that they should be in light of results on the field and NIL. And if we don’t reach that level we won’t get to where we want to be on the field.

Normal to be disappointed when we miss out on a highly desired recruit. I can’t be too hard on people expressing as much. Happy with the kids we have gotten. I also want to see us up there battling with Alabama and Georgia for a number 1 or 2 class in t country, not constantly struggling to break into the top 10.
I think some kids are still waiting to see if 2022 was a flash in the pan or if we are back long term. Another 11+ win season this year I think opens the floodgates for the next class

What's the likelihood other coaching staffs are still using the NCAA investigation and likely penalties as a recruiting tool against us? I would bet it's part of the commentary with recruits.

The previous staff illegally paid these 5 star kids. The previous "staffs"
could recruit, but when it came to results on the field, they sh*t the bed. Atleast this staff can beat the Florida's, LSU's, and Alabama's. I'll take the staff that can actually put a good product on the field with lesser stars compared to staff's that could recruit well but not do anything with all that talent. When Tennessee is in the college football playoff on a regular basis the 5 stars will come. One good year doesn't mean we should be getting 5 stars at the rate Bama and GA do, that comes with sustained success. People want everything right now, it's not how things work. We got Nico, Bradley, Carter, and Hobbs last year which all were highly ranked. Do people just forget that? We are halfway through this cycle.
