'19 FL DE Khris Bogle (UF signee)

I have seen the rumor from an insider regarding Tyson and Reichard both walking on but if that is the case not sure what they signed since the official UA site listed them as signed. I guess some kind of financial paperwork other then the NLI is possible but they have been on campus and practicing since December.

Either way though we have 24 signed if they do count against the numbers including Banks who announced today apparantly signed in December. I would not go by what a recruiting site is reporting for last year. Hatcher the QB from Arkansas is not on scholarship and Jordan Davis it was just reported in the last few weeks that he never signed an NLI with UA because of grade concerns even though 247 I believe and maybe another reported he did. So based off of that UA only brought in 20 last year. I know J Parks the year before gray shirted but that was due 85 roster cap issues not 25 and believe he still counted against the 17 class. So it appears we have either 4 or 5 to back count this year.

The other thing is 2 players who did not sign in December there has been rumors they could end up elsewhere. B Young is a concern to stay instate and some have said he is the reason we went after Bogle hard. Also Williams(DB) some feel may flip to LSU. Was some concern with K Robinson from MD as well.

So yes 28 currently either signed or committed but at least 3 and maybe 5 to backcount if all stick. It seems we are going after 2-3 more players for this class and again that may be contingent on if the 4 that did not sign stick. But by all accounts the top targets left seem to be To'oto'o and N Pickering. I Sospher was that top remaining DL but with his last interview stating he is a package deal with his brother my guess is he ends up at LSU since they are the only team to offer both.
That's correct about Hatcher and Davis not using spots, but two 2017-class blueshirts (Bulovas & Brannon) and one 2017-class grayshirt (Jarez Parks) counted against 2018 initial counter spots. So did late 2018-class additions Musika and Kaho. The net result is that Bama has two unused 2018 spots that two 2019-class early enrollees can count against.

2019-class early enrollees Paul Tyson and Will Reichard didn't sign NLIs. It appears that was done so they can receive scholarships as replacements (via the voluntary withdrawal exception rule - NCAA Bylaw 15.5.6.4.1) for Vandarious Cowan and Keith Holcombe, who withdrew from the team before the 2018 fall term. Per that rule, they will count toward the 85 total counters limit, but not the annual 25 signings and 25 initial counters limits.

So, Bama can take 25 ('19 spots) + 2 ('18 spots) + 2 (voluntary withdrawal replacements who won't count against annual limits) = 29 total.

How many times is that going to happen? Also happened with Eboigbe and Anderson
Until guys like this are sure It is on the way up. They would rather jump on a bandwagon than build one..it's just easier. My thing is...why go ride pine at Bama? There is no easy thing happening in going there hoping to leapfrog the other 10-15 high 4* and 5* in your position group in front of you, and not being leapfrogged by the ones that will be coming after you when you get recruited over next year.

The bandwagon is more seductive. We need more elite guys like Morris that want to build one, instead of hopping on one somebody else has built.

Agree.
Like Morris, Q, Grey, McCullough, and Keyton (I believe Wright as well). They all wanna make a name for themselves, and how bout J. Allen?! I was excited about him last year but really excited to see him next two years develop. Mama gonna push him harder than Pruitt will.

less wear and tear on bodies. we have already seen RBs take this position as a whole. not surprising to see kids taking that mindset into other position groups.

Is it just me or is anyone else tired of these boring ass, detailed bamar recruiting updates? I wish folks would stop asking this guy questions. Bama, for the foreseeable future, will get pretty much who they want, when they want and we really don't need this clown constantly explaining it for us.

It makes me want to find a good local team and start following D2...or whatever it is called nowadays. It is just more pure, amateur competition at this point. It is too bad that the athletes as a whole are not as spectacular to watch, but big time CFB is just NFLite anymore, and as much as I love Tennessee..the mercenary mentality is wearing on me.

It's the only reason that miserable sob is here, his crap life is so pathetic he has to come here and find enjoyment in kicking us while we are down. And then you have the pathetic VNers that take up for him doing it...It blows my mind. I just hope he is still around in a few years to eat the ***t sandwich when it finally turns back around, but I would bet you everything I have he won't be.

He will have retreated back to whatever bamars use as a message board.

Just click the ignore button when you view his profile. If everyone would quit acknowledging the sister humpers, quoting their posts, and arguing with them they would lose most of their enjoyment. Too many of us let these rival posters live in our heads rent free.

College sports are cylical. Remember the 90s when Fulmer wrecked Bammer? Or look on the bright side at our men's basketball team reaping the upside of all of those down years just a short time ago.

Totally agree. Don't give a rat's azz about any of these updates. The 2 bama posters with some elitism going on between them for sure. Saban's getting old, they better enjoy the ride while they can, it won't last forever.
