If they know they want to commit to UT but haven't committed yet is that considered a silent?
Most people consider a silent someone who's committed to the coaches, had their commitment accepted but hasn't announced their commitment. The coaches don't consider a player a commit, silent or otherwise, until they've accepted a verbal commitment. We have a lot of non-committable offers out there.

Yeah, just saying its a fine line between a silent and a lean as you know these coaches have conversations with these guys every day and its a bunch of "us" and "we."
You're right... but the recruits generally know if their offer is committable. This staff is very upfront. Of course, if a recruit drops down our board, he may not know that right away. But he'll know that the situation has changed.
Excellent! Just give me your list of silents and I'll draw up a contract. I have a boilerplate right here.
The ones I know about... Hill, Burrell, Bogle.... and from what marker and NRP is saying I believe Crouch, Wright, Knox, and someone else cant remember their name... and I KNOW OF us having some options at CB meaning if we want them, then their in kinda sitauation. Dont believe me but altleast believe marker and NRP... they have been nothing but spot on.
Let's be precise. You have offered to bet your house that Hill, Burrell, Bogle, Crouch, Wright and Knox are silent commits to UT, as defined in my post above, as of 4:55 PM EST today, July 12, 2018? Because I'll take that bet, draw up a legally binding contract and have it dispatched to you forthwith. I'm happy to accept your offer.
