Good point, I wouldn't say I hated him, just my least favorite. Hard to compete with Marshall and Barney, tho

Visited UF this weekend...and Gators still trail UT and Miami :)

Florida came into the visit needing to make up ground in this recruitment. It appears the Gators are still chasing a pair of rivals for Bogle at this time.

“Florida has always been close to the top. I don’t want to say they are my top. Like right now, it’s Miami and Tennessee at my top. So, Miami, Tennessee, and then Florida.”

It does not look as if Bogle is ready to shut down his recruitment in the the near future. “I plan to take all my officials and then make a decision after that.”

Tennessee has already used their official visit, and Bogle says he knows Oregon and Georgia will get official visits from him in the future as well.

It is nice seeing Florida flailing behind Richt at Miami and Taggart(!) at FSU. They're trying so hard to maintain their status from the Spurrier/Meyer-Tebow eras and they can only follow it up with McElwain's horse teeth.

At least with Tennessee, we know we haven't been back for a while. Florida is simply delusional.

Me too. Remember when people thought the only reason Dan wasn't bringing top talent to Miss St was because it was Miss St. Now he's at Florida (been on the job longer than Pruitt btw) and we have a way better '19 class than Florida so far.

Still awfully early. And I recall people saying very similar things about McElwain the last couple years, only to see Florida finish higher in the recruiting rankings than Butch and Tennessee.

I’m not saying I wish we had hired Mullen rather than Pruitt, that’s not the case for me at all, I’m very pleased that Pruitt is our guy and I think he and his staff are gonna recruit at very high levels, and very likely higher than Mullen at Florida. But let’s slow our roll just a tad here in May.

This. Some of our own VN fans were starting to question Pruitt's recruiting prowess barely a month ago when we only had 4 commits. While it is nice to be ahead of UF in recruiting right now, it's still over 6 months until ESD. I do think we finish with a higher class than UF, but that doesn't mean IF won't finish with a good classes well, although I certainly hope their class sucks.

well, it can't bode well when you're hosting kids on visits and they're throwing up "the U" sign, while saying FLorida sucks on video.

really putting that "there's no such thing as bad PR" deal to the test.

i can say that because we should know....:)

I’d wager he’s referring to the underwhelming recruiting Mullen did at MSU, but with the propensity to develop those guys into above average teams. Still early, but the same trend in Mullen’s recruiting is starting to emerge.
