‘23 FL OT Francis Mauigoa (Miami commit)

Why?

Not really his fault. Maybe you can judge them when they get some more talent.
Maybe they need more time to understand what he is coaching or get experience, but they seem out of position and several times I saw them just leave their man which allowed and easy completion on Saturday night.
I know we were down 2 starters.

The secondary actually played decently on Saturday. Bryce Young just made some great throws.

I would like to see better talent because Sutton, Moseley, Coleman, Taylor, and Jackson were drafted or made pro teams. Pretty sure he had a couple at UCF as well.

Yeah he had like 3 in one draft alone I believe. He can coach, but we have to continue to infuse talent. Then you have the current freshman that are talented but need to continue to develop. I honestly saw much better coverage overall from our secondary this Saturday. Bryce Young just did Bryce Young things at times.

Because I just don’t see it. It’s obvious money means a lot more to Mauigoa than anything else. We were not willing to pay the insane amount he wanted. So unless he just has a change of heart and doesn’t like money all of a sudden, then a flip is highly unlikely. Think about it, if winning meant something to him he could have went to Bama, us or UGA.

No. My question was why you say this thread needs to die. You don’t know that this kid won’t change his mind. You’re just guessing like everybody else. I’ll also point out that you really don’t know why he committed elsewhere either. You have internet rumors, and those are always so reliable.

It’s pretty well established why he committed to Miami. Hubbs and AP both talked about it. We had a good NIL deal for him. Miami came in last minute and upped the ante. Sorry but that’s the way it is.

Feel free to ignore this thread as others take the option of waiting until the fat lady sings. I don't like our odds, but there are still odds.
