Some of y'all just need to accept that some recruits value loyalty. Sure, money is obviously a big factor but there's more to it than wins and losses.
We had 0 business winning over Darnell Wright, but his relationships with the coaches was the determining factor regardless of our lack of success
THIS. But at the same time if he had committed to us and we were 3-4 he would have already decommited and Flipped to Miami with them having an equally bad season imo. Obviously the losses would be much worse, but the money is the equalizer and he’s getting more of that from them. It’s standard on what posters say recruits value and that has not changed whether Vols are winning or losing.
If they commit to us, it’s relationships and vision and belief in themselves.
If they commit to another school, it’s money. Only explanation.
And the thing is, sometimes both of these are actually the reason(s) for a recruit’s commitment. But all of the recruits get lumped in together.

I think it's hilarious (and, the absolute height of dumbsh!ttery) whenever someone believes they know the intentions, thoughts, heart, ANYTHING about someone they have never met, nor will ever meet...a stranger, if you will. It’s standard on what posters say recruits value and that has not changed whether Vols are winning or losing.
