'19 FL QB Brian Maurer (Tennessee signee)

Glad he is (hopefully) a Vol. Got the '19 qb, now start full effort in getting a a stud in '20!

I see no reaason to not trust CoachJason based on his precise callouts, namely with the timing of the Mauer commit (he called it a day before Marker).

I don’t trust or distrust anyone on a free football forum . I think they are in a holding pattern and Taulia is holding all the cards . I enjoyed the info “ Coach Jason” brought to the board and the way he brought it . But I also see the what could happen if we flip Taulia . The CJP seems to want two QBs this class . I think he went with the best option to get two instead of ending up with one . Just my opinion though so you know what that’s worth 😉

Everyone at Elite 11 can spin it... Reports on this kid is that he has the “IT” factor. Toughness, moxie and leadership to just win in the mold of a Fromm or a Mayfield.

Well if we choose not to believe everything his coach says about him , the one thing you have to consider is when he said the kid “ can put the ball in a bucket” I believe him . .

Arm looks fine to me. I keep wanting to believe he’s got plenty of zip on the ball but I’m friggin’ gun-shy because so many people said he had a noodle arm. Doesn’t look like Jamarcus Russell, but at least it doesn’t look like Jamarcus Russell.

It was just 1 or 2 people saying it over and over again. All the people who get paid to evaluate recruits say he has a good arm.

"He’s performed exceptionally well this summer at camps and has seen his stock rise. And on Thursday, he showed off some of his impressive skills at a seven-on-seven camp in Florida. Maurer...participated in a seven-on-seven event set up by the University of South Florida, and he impressed with his performance. He had some nice zip on his passes and completed some impressive deep passes and showed his skill making a variety of throws.

Granted, Maurer did all this without being pressured by pass rushers. But some of the throws he made during the event were impressive nonetheless, and his deeper passes were pinpoint accurate."
