'25 FL WR Jaime Ffrench

Vitello hasn’t had a class ranked outside 9th nationally while at Tennessee, most of which top 6 nationally. All the way back to when he started. Same with Buckeyes and their change of approach on offense with Ryan Day vs Urban Meyer. It certainly helps you can get these 5 stars drafted highly but you gotta reel them in.
Another thing that gets me is we had a Bilitnekoff winner 2 seasons ago. Heupels offense is super productive. One would think more 5* elite WRs would be wanting to play here.

Again I’ll mention Rodarious Jackson is elite regardless of what he is “ranked” by pundits. We already have an elite WR committed he just doesn’t check your “5 star box” because some nerds who prob never played a down in their life decided not to

Hope so

In the sense that he will get caught up in the money and non football stuff. I think he will lose that drive and will slow burn to obscurity.

JMO.

Idk. He’s pretty good. To be fair this is a whole other level of distraction as well now days. Lambos and money will distract almost all high school kids.

I’m not sure what we’re still swinging here honestly unless we want to throw insane money his way.

Preston Williams was the number 1 WR his class (I think that was correct).

Money makes a lot of people complacent. Especially young kids who haven’t “earned” it.

Guess he wants another free trip
Possibly just looking to use our NIL player status to leverage his current deals elsewhere. Would have to have a high degree of confidence his retention, not his acquisition costs, would still make him a good value. If not, maybe you pass now and play the long game (portal) after development at this level is confirmed, and our QB room is still in contact after his OV. Better risk/reward potential. Lots of moving parts with high rollers.

Nowadays you want to be a school in their history they may want to circle back towards even if they sign elsewhere.

Jackson has nerd approval as well. Power really likes him. I think it just takes some time to move a kid up that much. Probably want to see him this year before they move him up again. He may not end up as high as I think but he has some eyes on his ranking last I heard.

There's gotta some better consistency in getting guys drafted and getting them top production.

Even still, in the last 2 classes we he pulled 3 WRS ranked inside the top 100 overall. That's significantly better than we had been doing, at least since the early Lyle years.
