Right or wrong a program has to do an ROI analysis based on market value. The slowdown in peer recruiting (my perception anyway) is pretty telling. If cost is above value add CALCULATION time to apply time and money elsewhere. Especially in the one year rental world we are in now. Hate to spend big for a development year and then wave goodbye. Rather go after them later IF they prove out, so let them walk away in a friendly manner.I have a feeling this will be the excuse moving forward. Yeah who needs to stock elite talent like UGA, TX and OSU does every year right? I guess it’s better to get some elite guys every few years and hope for the best.
I would rather be focusing on building a elite offensive line first.False. But I do want to pay the elite ones what they want. That’s how you build championship rosters. Gotta pay up. French is elite. It’s obvious other big time programs are willing to pay up. Why not us?
We dont see the value. I think we are confident we can find someone who wants to be here, equally as talented without the pre madonnadnessitude.False. I got a 65 skylark… needs battery, some paint and bondo. Motor needs some work and it has a couple of broke windows but it’s push button drive and ought to suit him just fine. It’s out in the pasture with some weeds growing up in it just come and get it. Be sure to bring wasp spray and watch out for copper heads. There was long discussion on here about Ffrench and how weren’t going to give him a Lamborghini
