Florida @ Bama

On your end, I guess it would be like if Georgia and FSU were playing a game, huh?

(Actually, I presume you're old enough, so let's say it's like a 2002 or earlier Auburn and Georgia game. There, that covers the conference implications as well.)

When UGA played FSU in the Sugar Bowl, I wanted FSU to win.

When UT played FSU in the Fiesta Bowl, I wanted UT to win.

It's really not as painful as TOP suggests.

What about when UGA and Auburn played, back when UF used to play both schools every year?

I hope "O Bama" beats Florida worse than Atlanta beat T.B. on Thursday night. 56 - 0 or 56 - 7!

I want to see Florida leave the field with their heads hung low. I want to see them crying and demoralized.

Ditto that brother but throw in about a dozen high ankle sprains to receivers, running backs, DB's and somehow or another Kiffy gets caught up in a play out of bounds and gets one then the day is just about perfect.

Depends on your disdain for teams.

Like if Oregon and USC play, I don't dislike them to the extent of SEC rivals such as Florida and Alabama, but I still don't care who wins or loses(unless one of them were on their way to a championship and the other prevented it from happening) because I dislike them both. Or baseball... to me, the Red Sox vs. Cardinals was horrible. NBA finals, Lakers vs. Celtics was horrible. If I had to watch someone like the Heat(w/ Lebron) and they played Lakers, horrible.

Basically, Tennessee is the only team I'm truly a fan of so I only pull for other teams depending on certain situations. I'll pull for underdog. And my second favorite thing behind pulling for the Vols, Titans, Pacers and Stros is watching teams I dislike and pulling for them to lose. I guess that's just me... it adds more reason to watch other games outside of the Vols. Maybe I should start gambling on games, that would make it even more interesting.

But yeah... pulling against teams I dislike makes watching other games better. I dislike most of the SEC, USC, Oregon, Kentucky in basketball, Syracuse in basketball, Kansas in basketball... and so on. I enjoy watching their games because I pull against them. I'm literally going to watch the Vanderbilt game even though the outcome is all but certain and I'm only watching it because I want to see Vandy get smashed. I don't even want it to be a game. I want it to be 60-0.

Anyways... enjoy the game. I think Alabama should roll but ya never know. Florida has plenty of talent to win on any given saturday. They're just my two most disliked teams along with Vandy and same goes for Kentucky in basketball. I don't post on other boards but I do read them and just the way some of the fans are, it makes it easy to dislike them and root against them. I know I give you and other Florida/Kentucky fans s*** who post on here but it's all good. Have a good day, man. :hi:

Quite a list. Don't you also dislike Iowa, or am I thinking of another poster?

I'd cheer for Auburn, unless UGA winning helped UF win the division.

UGA is public enemy #1.

Ok.

One more: What would have been the rank/order of UF's rivalries in the 90s/early 2000s. I know UGA, UT, FSU, and Auburn would have all been on there in some order. (Anyone I'm forgetting?)

Yeah, pretty much. I think I'm starting to dislike them less as I get older just because all of my friends are Iowa fans. When you're younger though, it's kind of like bragging rights. It's only a game so it's fun to give your friends crap about it and they do so in return about the Vols. They'd poke fun at Clausen and it was just messing around, giving each other a hard time. But yeah, I tend to pull against them. My mom would too and I would watch the Iowa games with her a lot. Good times.

This is one of those gms where you wish there wasn't a winner!! I guess I will pull for Bama so it can help us out in the east. Thoughts?

My thoughts? This thread will be moved to around the NCAA :)
need Bama to win though

You sir, are correct.

But there's already a Florida/Bama thread.

I made that mistake earlier haha

Here's my thoughts:

Florida has every reason in the world to win this game.

Alasalami has every reason in the world to lose it.

If alasalami doesn't lose their ass today it will be closer than they feel comfortable with. Alasalami fans erupt in shock and awe and call for sabans head.

That's easily the dumbest post I've read about this game.

Maybe, but florida feels the pressure to respond after a poor showing. Muschamp feels backed into a corner. They have been hearing about how they suck the whole week. They have the corners to shut down alasalami's O. They play the spread that gives alasalami so much trouble. I think Floridah is going to make this interesting. What's your excuse?

Florida must die. My family really hates Bama, but when the Vols were Rollin in the 90s, it felt like Florida was the most irritating obstacle and so they overtook Bammer....
