like we were going beat them this year?

every year we hear the same things: We are better than them this year. they are trash this year and don't have a QB/Oline/skill players/DLine worth a darn. We will end the curse/The curse never existed. past games don't matter. this is a different coach, ours or theirs. these players didn't lose 17 in a row. etc etc etc. and its been nothing but delusion.

our best team in more than two decades barely beat them at home with a brand new HC. at some point you have to admit that Florida beats us. whether or not you believe in any type of game-day based superstition or not, the results speak for themselves no matter how much you want to stick your head in the ground.

I think that angle is overplayed. Florida recovered an onside kick and our defense went into prevent mode too soon .... but I was there and remember it pretty well. Tennessee dominated that game until about the last 7 minutes or so.

.... and our coach was just in his 2nd season. Like I said ... that is overplayed.

and most years Florida is able to take that situation and beat us. we always make their QB who is about to lose their job look like a Heisman candidate.

as I said, whatever the reason/excuse/explanation or just straight up avoidance, they history is there. we are bad against Florida.

True. My post was specific to last year's game. Hopefully, at the very least, Heupel can make this a "home team wins" series. Although, we won't be playing them annually after next season, anyway.
