Did not see it myself but the comments by the Gator faithful on Swampgas suggest we may have improved a bit on defense but are just going to be one dimensional on offense. Essentially no passing game and what we will have will be erratic, at best. No QB stepped up last night.

Its only a Spring game but the Wisconsin transfer Mertz is, as advertised, sucky. Predictions are we are going to have to get lucky to make any bowl game.

A slow Wisconsin QB at UF - brilliant recruiting there

Because no fans ever overreact right?

Haven’t looked at the schedule but that’s hard to believe

  • Sept. 2, 2023: @ Utah
  • Sept. 9, 2023: vs. McNeese State
  • Sept. 16, 2023: vs. Tennessee
  • Sept. 23, 2023: vs. Charlotte
  • Sept. 30, 2023: @ Kentucky
  • Oct. 7, 2023: vs. Vanderbilt
  • Oct. 14, 2023: @ South Carolina
  • Oct. 28, 2023: vs. Georgia (Jacksonville)
  • Nov. 4, 2023: vs. Arkansas
  • Nov. 11, 2023: @ LSU
  • Nov. 18, 2023: @ Missouri
  • Nov. 25, 2023: vs. Florida State
I mean Florida lost to Vandy last year with a better team. Looking at this schedule I frankly don’t know which SEC team they can hang with?

Florida has been a program of piss poor culture lately too most likely. Under Mullen they really caved a lot after they took a loss or two.

Ohh boy.

Ehh, McNeese State, Charlotte, and Vandy or Arkansas.

I’m sure you’re thinking Arkansas? As bad as they are about being up and down I can definitely see them dropping one they have no reason to.

They struggled at home against Missouri State
They lost to aTm on the road
They lost to Liberty at home

I think if they only get 3 Billy gets fired.

2024 is going to be tough for the gators as well if they don’t upgrade this year in the transfer portal. Non conference games with Miami, UCF, and of course FSU. Their 2024 recruiting class looks really promising but don’t know if Napier will survive losing seasons in 23 and 24

I’m saying the only two guaranteed wins I see are McNeese and Charlotte. If they lost to Vandy last year then frankly anything is possible this year.

I don’t see 6 wins on this schedule

Their DBs are NOT going to be prepared for our offense. There is zero chance they are being developed facing the qbs on that roster. Squirrel is gonna be wide open all day. Bring some oxygen for him because he’s gonna have 5+ catches over 60 yards each.

Gators also have to be looking ahead to the 2024 SEC schedule when there will be no guaranteed conference wins. Will they think Napier is the coach to win in that Conference environment?
Everyone will know that answer when Napier rolls without Richardson in 23.

Let’s hope for 4 then.

I think Arkansas will be fine as long as Jefferson is healthy. He’s one of the top 3 QBs in the league.

There are high hopes for sure, but I have a hard time placing a win for us at the swamp. I have to see it to believe it.

What has happened to Florida Football? Since 2010 they have had 4 losing seasons and 5 losing SEC records, 2011, 2013,2017, 2021 and 2022. No SEC titles or national titles since 2008 and 6 non winning SEC seasons since 2010 along with 5 different head coaches. A team that used to be model of high level success in the SEC and dominated the league from 1990-2008 they have basically turned into us or what we were from 2008-2020 but it looks like we have finally turned it around while the Gators are still stuck in the mud. I believe Billy Napier must win 7 or 8 games this season or he is gone.

Same thing as happened here. They’ve made terrible hires. Buildings & uniforms don’t attract great players. Great coaches do.
